On my TT Cougar 2.4ghz radio set, I had to reverse the throttle channel in order to program the receiver to the ESC.
To program your receiver to your ESC
* With ESC power OFF, turn on your transmitter,
Push and hold the programming button on the ESC (next to the main power switch).
Keep holding the programming button until the LED stays solid red, then release the button.
On your transmitter, move the throttle to full and hold it there until the red LED flashes and then goes back to solid red.
Now move the transmitter to full reverse and hold it there until the green LED flashes then turn solid green.
Now release the transmitter throttle control so it goes naturally to the neutral point and wait for both the red & green LED’*s to flash then both stay lit.
Leave your transmitter turned on, turn off the ESC power switch, then turn it back on, but this time DO NOT press the programming button.
After a couple of seconds, you will hear a few ‘*check bleeps’* to confirm RX/TX connection, and you are ready to go!
If you don’*t get the ‘*check bleeps’*, then retry the sequence, the ESC will not drive the motor until the ESC recognises RX/TX connection, and the ‘*check bleeps’* are heard.
IMPORTANT - If fitted/available, re program your RX/TX failsafe points so your failsafe point is now set to THE NEUTRAL POINT, especially if you’*re coming from nitro, as remember, your RX/TX will put your motor into full reverse (which will now be forward if you’*re throttle channel is reversed) if your transmitter is powered off whilst your ESC is left on, which is not a good idea!
