Anyone know the acceptable minimum and maximum range for both voltage and amperage that this and similar ignitions work in? I want to use a LifePo4 6.6v battery but want to stay below 6v input regarless of what some say about 6.6v being ok. So, I want to use a UBEC that steps it down to 5 volts and 3 amps. I know I'm Ok on the voltage, but what about the amps? Will 3 amps be too much, too little, just right ... or what???
3A is the maximum current you can draw, so it can never bee "too much". These ignition units draw of the order of 10^-2 A, 3A BEC is more than man enough
I had to look up "10^-2 A", ... which I now understand is 0.01 Amperes. So, I believe you are saying that I have a HUGE capacity above what I will ever need when I use the 3A BEC, and I am good to use it? Thanks very much
HELLO.
I HAVE A CRRCPRO 45I GAS ENGINE AND I NEED TO BUY AN IGNITION SET.
ON MY ENGINE MANUAL IT SAYS IT NEEDS A 6V DC-CDI IGNITION SET WITH A 10MM SPARK PLUG, THIS IGNITION SET CAN WORK?
THANKS.
Yes just check if the plug for the old pickup is the same and plug your old pickup in or just use this one am using these on all my gass engines as they don't blow like the other CDI that comes with engines great CDi this

evolution 26gx uses 2 magnets so it need to be modified for one (lot's of modifications to this engine can be found here ###tech.flygsw****/evolution26ignition.htm###) and timing adjustments will be necesery and as I remember the sensor place is flat and these are round but refer to this page and these engine can produce lot's more power.
Cumon Chaps someone must have bought one for a CM6 plug setup !! The sites' descriptions are woefull. 14mm, 10mm, .55, 3/4. What the %*$# is all that about?
BPMR6A Plugs have thread-diameter of 14mm.
So, yes this will fit a BPMR6A!!
The dimensions like 10mm, 14mm are the thread diameters of the plugs. just take your spark plug out and measure it!!
