Feathering Shaft Wrench for RC Helicopter

Feathering Shaft Wrench for RC Helicopter

This is a high quality feathering shaft wrench for use with RC helicopters. It features one way bearings in 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm which will hold your feathering shaft in place so you can unscrew the bolt from the end of the shaft.

This is a very useful tool to keep in your heli flight box as we all know how difficult it can be to get that last bolt out of the feathering shaft. With this tool there is no need to use pliers which will damage the surface of your feathering shaft. Simply slide the shaft into the appropriately sized one way bearing to lock the shaft in place for bolt removal.

*Note: Fits feathering shaft sizes 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm.

Mine was missing the 4mm one way bearing which annoying because i wanted to use it for my 450 heli

Pliars do not "work fine", they scar up the feathering shaft. This costs less half the price of other tools of this type and supports all the commonly used feathering shaft sizes in one tool. Buying these sizes in the Align wrenches will run you over $30, this thing costs $8.

Yes, smaller ones for the tiny helis would help like others said, but pliers still work fine. Maybe when they add the smaller sizes.

will this fit a 250 size?
 Turbobeaver 1336 points
Sorry to say but no.The smallest size on this wrench is 4mm which is for use on the 450 class helicopters.A 250 class feathering shaft would be 2.5mm.Too bad they couldn't have added one more sizing of "one way bearing" on the wrench.

They also need to add 3mm for 300 size heli's, I need one for my 300X.

Just change a feathering shaft today lol.

Same here. The funny part... A Turnigy spare part in a Tarot bag? Lol

don't 2 hex socket screwdrivers work anymore?
 crandix 81 points
Yes when you get one bolt out how are you going to hold the shaft to get the other one?
 dankers 23677 points
Exactly, this tool is very useful, it's common to have one bolt slightly tighter than the other so only the less stuck one comes off with that technique, then you have to hold the bare shaft to get the other one. Most the time you are changing the shaft because you bent it and pillars will work but if not, then you will score the shaft and have to chnage it anyway. Great tool.

Or just wrap a bit of cloth around the pliers
 dankers 23677 points
Or use this tool when that slips *-)
 scouse 111 points
Or just press a bit harder on that hardened steel feathering shaft :D Over 1000 helicopters built and never needed one of these before lol. Nice tool , but like those multi screwdriver bits theres always something that you never really need :D

handy! Was wondering when a reasonably-priced version of one of these was coming our way.

Will also work as a stud remover..
 shahram72 45 points
Maybe some experts here don't need this tool, but I can never get that second one out and usually throw it out with the shaft. I will get this took in my next order!

This is a must have tool, done is the days of scratching a spindle with pliers to just get the opposite bolt out. Made from good quality parts and one-way bearings seems ok for the job and will last.

Works great. Slight imperfections in the plastic handle. I look the handle off the wrench itself anyways, as I will only be using it on a 450 and do not require that much leverage. This way I same some space in my toolbox. hehe. PS, it came in a TAROT packet, so I suppose its a TAROT product with the Turnigy label engraved. Sweet.

Tested it yesterday. Tool works great, firmly holding the shaft without scratching it. Must have tool if you need to disassemble the shaft without thowing it away.
