This charger has a fixed output of 650mah. Most batteries can safely be charged at a 2c rating. Some are rated to charge at 5c. So you would charge a 350mah at 2c or a 130mah at 5c. I use it to charge 180mah 2s batteries and they do not get warm or puffy. It will charge any 2 or 3 cell lipo with the JST balance plug. Thanks
Storage current means that the cells will be charged/discharged to 50% about 3.85 per cell. This will extend the life of the battery when stored for long periods of time.
I have 2 questions. WOuld this charge my 2 cell 240mah lipo? Also would i be able to charge a 2 cell and a 3 cell battery at the same time (since it has 2 plugs)? The 2 cell would be the 240mah and the 3 cell would be a 2200 mah
yes it will and charge times wont be too long because of the low mah. this charger charges through the balance plug which is a lot slower that charging through the leads.
I personally would not use it for this size of battery,it has a fixed charge rate of 650mah which is too high,this size of battery should really only be charged at 1c which is 180mah.
The only simple one I can find is the HobbyKing E4 Balanced Charger Part#TE4,this will be ideal but does need a power supply,or you can run it directly from a 12v car battery.
This charger took about 2&1/2-3 hrs to charge my 4000mah 2s lipo, not bad for the price, it is a great charger so far, just got it though, it looks exactly like the traxxas style lipo charger, more than likely the same, charge rate is up to 650mah for 3s, so not a fast charge but less stress on your batteries. I bought two, will buy more!
