Mitsubishi Zero Composite w/Retracts 0.46 Glow 1360mm (ARF) (USA Warehouse)
In the early days of the Pacific War, the Zero was the most outstanding and feared fighter of the conflict, it's light construction gave the Zero good speed and outstanding maneuverability, particularly at low altitudes, combine this with it's impressive firepower and you have arguably the best dogfighter of WW2.
This Zero features a tough composite fuselage complete with panel lines, rivets, etc, the 1pc removable wing & horizontal stabilizer are a traditional balsa construction. The model comes with a very comprehensive and nice quality hardware kit which includes the fuel tank, engine mount, servo lock leads, alloy servo horn for the pull/pull rudder and also a pair of mechanical retracts complete with wheel wells and gear door covers.
This Zero is a great club sized warbird, it features a high level of scale detail and really looks the part with it's authentic semi-gloss finish, it even comes with a set of metal exhaust stubs, glassfiber drop-tank and a ply radio mast for that final scale touch, the H-King Zero is a great flying model, as well as being a practical and detailed warbird that doesn't cost the earth!
Features: Tough Composite Fuselage High level of scale detail Authentic finish Comprehensive hardware kit Tough retracts, ideal for grass strips Low build cost Practical size for transportation
Id did install flaps and it will slow down....BUT its so heavy it just stalls and drops a wing. I also swapped the elevator controls for carbon fibre rods to try and take more weight away from the tail but its still too heavy. If you have a very long concrete strip then it would be ok as mine comes in at about 25mph
I purchased one of these previously from a different seller without the retracts. The problem I had was that it comes out severely tail-heavy with the recommended engine. I had to add 1.5 lbs to the nose to balance. I finally resorted to moving the Rx battery and the throttle serve into the engine compartment, moving the engine forward 3/4 inch, and putting a .74 glow engine instead of a .46. Even with all that, I still had to use a heavy prop hub. So, I would recommend a big, heavy engine for this plane.
I am now interested in restoring this plane and using a small gasser, like the RCG 15cc, but would need to buy a spare cowl if HK ever makes them available.
Should fly, but a .61 would do much better. It's always better to have a litte more power for emergency situations. In a stall-situation, you need thrust.
ray sorry not here YET. HobbyKing is getting better with spares. Keep you eyes on ""Planes ARF,RTF,KIT > Replacement Parts"" in the Global Wharehouse. I hope this hopes

But for electric try a 5s Setup. With a SK4250-650kv or sth. that size and a 14x7" APC-E prop you will do great. Should be around just under 4kg of thrust at 800W of power
I just received mine but the instruction manual is on one of those small cd's, I dont have anything in my house that can play them could someone possibly upload the manual
looks like a CMP zero, got one last year great looking model but with the FG fuse is heavy, as usual all war birds are tail heavy and so is this one. mounted a saito 56 and its still tail heavy so might need a 62. it can be electric with a motor extension, 5S lipo, low KV motor and 12 in. prop
if you had something as big as a 82 and still too heavy somethins wrong! even if it barley flew would come in hot/heavy so youd have to have flaps to slow it down even then it might stall, Ha almost a losing battle

I just got done with her maden flight and happy with it vary stable platform but very very tail heavy and would not recamend using a 46 the plane is vary heavy so i went with a OS 55 and still had to add led ballist to the nose.So it has a high stall speed so you have to come in HOT
