The Hobbyking X666 quadcopter frame is a high quality glass fiber frame that offers both great looks and performance. Built from light weight yet extremely rigid glass fiber and aluminum, the X666 offers a great combination of weight savings and strength.
The X666's aggressive styling makes it look just as sinister as its name, while still offering excellent functionality and performance!
This frame is based on the popular X525 V3 design, but features extended arm lengths of 666mm. This is a Hobbyking exclusive which means you will not find it anywhere else!
The X666 features a very nicely finished glass fiber main frame, shock-absorbing landing legs and folding aluminum arms. It also includes 3 silver arms and 2 black (5pcs total) so you can change them based on flying in + or X configuration for orientation. The shock-absorbing landing legs are a great feature to handle those rough landings that we all have from time to time.
We also offer a full line of multi-rotor electronics such as multi-rotor control board, ESC, motors and more, so it has never been easier or more affordable to get a quad in the air!
Required: Multi-Rotor control board 15~25A Brushless ESC x 4 2200~3000mAh 3S 11.1V Lipoly 28-XX 1100~1300KV Brushless motor x 4 8x4~10x4.3 Propeller - 2 standard/2 reverse rotation
User manual available for download located under "Files" tab.
Note: All Hobbyking X series frames are purchased factory direct. We have worked closely with the factory engineers to ensure quality. All X series frames are CNC cut and accurately milled unlike many of the cheap frames available from Ebay or Chinese vendors that are drilled by hand in low tech factories. The Hobbyking X series also feature thicker GF main plates for added stength.
I just recieved mine wo days before and i'm happy with it, but i have found that the aluminium arms aren't that strong, while adjusting the screws BY HAND i was able to easily distort the aluminium arm. That's really anoying since I want a perfect adjust to avoid vibration, but you can't do it in a strong way or you will make your aluminium arm useless, since it wont fit into the landing gear
I did some aluminium cubes with a hole that fit in the arms. Now I can realy adjust the screws. It's not only the quality of the arms, I had a screw without hole too... I had to use pliers to adjust this one.
When this X666 is shipped from the International Warehouse is it pre-assembled, I am trying to figure out what they are saying about a large box item!! Sad my order was made back on Jan 23, 2014 and so far to date Feb 8, 2014 it hasn't shipped yet, and all I am getting is my large box item is being packed and ready to ship!!!!
I just receive this frame yesterday, well build, no instructions, i use the instructions of the 525 frame it looks the same. the screws are good, but only have 4 nylon screws to mount the Control Board, if you have to mount the Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board its is a little dificult because of the space. I put one above the other lets see if there is no vibration. This frame have 2 arms paint black to indicate the front but this color is not very good for, i will paint in orange later and put a green propeller for better orientation.

Just got this frame in yesterday, very nice frame for the price. All the materials are of good quality, all holes line up correctly, and the hardware is very nice. I had no issues with assembly. This thing is huge!! I had a v1 talon and the x666 is a monster compared. I was going to try to fab my own quad, but with the x666 being only $24 why bother ;)
Sehr stabil und gut durchdacht das ganze . Einfacher zusammen .

Very nice frame. Easy assembly, Used the HK i86, Turnigy 28-30-750kv, HK blue 12A ESC, FlightMax 3s1p 2200 20C, 10x6 GWS clone props, FrSky TFR6 FASST 2.4ghz. Had to extend the ESC power wires. Board/ESC setup took a bit of reading but not too difficult. Still tuning the board but it flies fine. about 6 minutes per battery in windy conditions.
