Metal Tail Assembly Complete HK-450TT PRO FBL / Trex 450PRO (torque tube version)
This is the complete metal tail assembly for the HK-450TT PRO FBL and Trex 450PRO helicopter kit (torque tube version). It features an upgraded metal tail slider and tail slider control arm. This assembly is made to very tight tolerances and has no slop providing locked-in tail performance.
Hope with this metal slider assemb. is better than old one. If it's good as you say it is then it is really cheap. Hope what you say is truth. I had a lot of problems with 3 previous versions of metal tail assemb. 2 for 450 pro and 1 for 450 v2. Hope this one is better.
Single arm tail slide designs will always develop slop quickly. HK needs to get a dual arm pitch slider or develop a slider along the lines of the new slider Align have released for the 450pro. Preference being for the later!
I got this on my hk450pro fbl kit, and the slop is IMMENSE, gyro could work with this, but major problem is the lack of travel to counter force the rotor rotation, I only get a few degrees of pitch that way, but other way, I can almost stall it.
Concerning the pitch asymmetry mentioned by andersand, the Align tail have the same problem. But there is a simple fix: look for "Tail grip flip mod" on the internet.
Hi, it might be usefull, but my tail fell apart on first trip, metal fatigue/bad metall in the pitch slider screw, holding the slider, to tail ( part that slides on shaft and has threads.
Thanks for the tip, on flipping the tail, reading about it now, definetly doing that!

I had to review this tail assembly,because I bought it to replace a troublesome tail unit on my second 450pro clone. This particular clone flew perfectly until I crashed it, and since then I just couldn't get the tail to run nicely, replaced bearings, etc.. finally gave up, and ordered this one to see if it would be any better.
Got it today, unfortunately it was missing that little metal pin that goes in the hole of the tail boom to lock it in, fortunately I had an older busted up one that I robbed one off. I've had many clone tail unit, and almost all of them need adjustments to stop them binding, whether its loosening a screw, or removing crusted lockite. With this assembly I held the tail,and wiggled the control arm...very little slop,not zero, but very good, nice and loose too. I flipped the grips, and checked for lockite, all ok.
Once fitted,I adjusted the limits on my cx3100 and popped it into idle up..lovely! A nice crisp tail response, no wag and no bounce,just how it should be..My other clone flys nearly as well,and when it next takes a dive I shallbegetting another of these to replace the tail..I just wish they had a standard 450pro tail,not the aluminium block and silly metal pin thats a pain to remove..oh well!

I've had a lot of problems with tail slop on my HK450TTpro. I bought two of these, because they looked close to the improved Align tail and they cost a lot less.
However, the first one broke during maiden flight test hovering. The heli suddenly started spinning. The pitch control slider broke, rendering the whole assembly inoperative.
I was glad I had two, because the second one got me back in the air. But I have ordered the more expensive Align part, and I am considering never purchasing HK parts again.
Very nice quality. Every scew was locked. The slop is minimal, better than the old version from the Pro which I had.

Very dissapointed in this, the tail slider is not smooth, there is a fair bit of slop in the arm at the ball joint ( very loose fit ). Torque tube drive dont centre. Very poor Quality.
