What is the 'Actual' torque on this thing ?
For me the servo has difficulty even pulling a 4-5 Kg (1 cm from the center of the servo) load using a pulley mechanism.
I used 5-7 V power source. I even went to a 7.5 V power level, but not much difference.

one should consider that it is rated from the centre of the servo head* moving the leverage point away from that should increase the load...actually if it can move 4-5 kgs thats impressive. sounds like you need a servo that would be way out of this price range
Most of the gears are metallic, just the one on the bottom is plastic, I guess this doesn't need to be metallic because it is just an speed transmision from the motor to the rest of the gears.
bad one HK using 1 plastic gear. even if used for the speed transmision, it will break, I have the 9kg version with that problem(broken plastic gear). so the better choice is the HXT 10kg thanks
The first gear, the one after pinion motor, must be non metallic to avoid jitter or RF interference to the high sensitive potentiometer. Words from manufacturers. Some manufacturers use a very hard and strong non conductive material on the high performance (high torque) servos just to guaantee its output.
False... There is no plastic gears in this servo. All fully metallic. It even comes with a quality Ball Bearing for the servo Shaft. Very pleased with this cheap steal!
Ordered for review. On the surface everything is fine, it is easy to walk. Put it on the steering wheel, on the trophy 1/10 Toyota Tundra, seemed to work fine, enough effort.
Por el precio que tiene no se puede pedir más. La piñonerÃa metalica ofrece más seguridad ante roturas de piñones que la plástica. Recomendado.

Hoy perdi un avion nuevo por culpa de este servo. Estaba instalado para el elevador y dejo de funcionar en pleno vuelo.
Today a new aircraft lost because of this servo. Was installed to the elevator and stopped working in flight.

Me sorprendieron estos servos, muy buena calidad, buena respuesta al mando y precio muy accesible, son algo pesados quizas pero funcionan muy bien!!!
I was surprised these servos, very good quality, good response to command and affordable price are perhaps a little heavy but they work great!
