I have a Castle phoenix Ice 100 ESC - Can I use this on this motor? I plan to use 4500 - 5000mah Ss - what is a good battery?

Can I use a 6 cell Lipo as I don't need this much
power. Actually I only need a size .90. My plane calls for a 26-30 cc gasonline

is it for a 0.90 size plane or a 30cc plane? Two very different things! Either way, 0.90 on 6s is pushing it, 30cc equivalent 6s is just not practical.

Have not yet run the motor but it is worth noting...the screws that come with the motor to mount the propeller shaft are too short. It appears that the adapter has changed (made thicker) but the screws were left the same so they don't reach through the adapter and into the threads in the motor casing. Add a couple bucks for screws when considering the overall cost of this motor. Still a good deal though.

Had a dozen flights on mine only to have it burn out my ESC after the winding shorted out against the bell housing. Looking to see what Hobbyking is going to do about it.

Great motor! Have it on 10s with 18x6 prop on a 98" Cub and it will hover and 1/4 throttle. Fantastic!
