This superb Katana has been built exclusively for 3D, it features huge control surfaces and a light wing loading, the perfect recipe for some extreme aerobatics!
The build quality is quite superb and is both strong and light, the covering is expertly applied and the attractive colour scheme is ideal for orientation. The glass fiber cowl is nicely painted and is adjustable for perfect spinner alignment, the spats are also glass fiber and again nicely finished. The supplied hardware is excellent and this model offers an easy and quick build due to large amount of pre-fabrication. Wings are plug in as you would expect to make transportation easy and the large canopy is of course removable for easy Lipoly changing.
This very attractive H-King Katana offers superb performance on the reccomended set up for both the 3D pilot and the sport flyer, the "50ep" class models are popular as they fly like a large scale plane but are relatively inexpensive to build and are very practical. This Katana is the perfect all round model for the intermediate to experienced pilot it looks good, flys great, is practical and doesn't cost the earth, you couldn't ask for more!

could it be that u look first time in the international warehouse? its cheaper there, but you will have more costs of shipping and taxes. i bought that plane from the euro warehouse and it was 2 days after here. the price and quality is compare with other models in same class from other sellers realy cheap with good quality. note its a wood plane and not foam.
its normal covering foil with good quality like oracover and well finsh. only the the canopy is made by PET, also in good quality. you can read my changes in the discussions.
perfect packaging, easy to assemble kits and meticulous attention to detail, good job HOBBYKING!

Verpackung Top, alles sauber und bruch-und dellenfrei angekommen. Einfacher Aufbau, zu kleben sind nur die Leitwerke und die Fliesscharniere.
Fliege mit Foxy-Motor und 4S 4000mAh. Schwerpunktangaben in der Anleitung stimmen.
Sauber zu fliegen, keine Zicken und einfach zu landen.
einzige Verbesserung bzw. zur Gewissensberuhiigung hab ich das Höhenleitwerk mit CFK-Stangen am Seitenleitwerk abgefangen, da es doch recht weich erschien.
aber alles in allem ein TOP Preis/Leistungsverhältnis! kann ich nur empfehlen.

Well packed arrived all in one piece Easy to build Easy to fly great practice plane..linkages ordinary; replaced on second one. Lost first one due to aeleron flutter and it broke a link (plastic)oh well we live and learn old setup 4250x600 ...14x6 master airscrew Turnigy 60amp speedy on 6s pulling 55amp on full throttle......cruise at half or so...... flys ok but had to add weight in nose to ballance
New setup g60 motor 60amp turnigy speedy on 15x8 master airscrew pulling 45 amp and boy vertical out of sight Oh on 6s as well only had to ad 50 gram to balance Great plane I'm still learning to fly imac but it will do everything i have asked of it All part servos and hardware from HK

Sehr gutes Kunstflugmodell, fliegt sehr neutral und geht sauber durch die Figuren die ich bisher kann ;) mein setup 4260 kv500 an 6s 5000mAh mit 14x10 2Blatt. Zieht so aber nur 800W, daher nächster versuch mit 14x9 3Blatt, das sollte dann zum torquen reichen (~1100W mit ~4,3kg Standschub). Servos HK15298 gehen höllenmäßig. Abfluggewicht liegt bei 3200g. Verarbeitung sollten einige ... Hersteller mal dran kommen, Hut ab hobbyking ;) Hab nur als Sicherheitsfanatiker die Gabelköpfe gegen Stahl M3 mit gewindestange ausgetauscht und verlötet. Sehr gut verarbeitet und sehr sauber aufgebaut. Ich habe nichts zum meckern gefunden. Wenn man alle Teile aus dem Bausatz verbaut, hat man ein Leergewicht von etwa 1600 gr. Sparen läßt sich mit einem cfk Steckungsrohr (original Alu 125gr.), CFK Fahrwerk und leichtere Achsen (original Alu und Stahl 125gr.), andere Räder (original 26gr.) und CFK Anlenkungen (original Stahl 35gr.). ich schätze dass sich etwa 150gr. einsparen lassen.
