The Hobbyking X525 V3 quadcopter frame has arrived!
The Hobbyking X525 quadcopter frame is a high quality glass fiber frame that offers both great looks and performance. Built from light weight yet extremely rigid glass fiber and aluminum, the X525 offers a great combination of weight savings and strength.
The X525's aggressive styling makes it look more like a deadly weapon than a quad frame, while still offering excellent functionality and performance!
This quad frame features a very nicely finished glass fiber main frame, shock-absorbing landing legs and folding aluminum arms. The shock-absorbing landing legs are a great feature to handle those rough landings that we all have from time to time.
We also offer a full line of quad electronics such as quadcopter control board, ESC, motors and more, so it has never been easier or more affordable to get a quad in the air!
All necessary hardware is included.
Specs: Width: 600mm Motor Bolt Holes: 14~30mm
Required: Multi-Rotor control board 15~25A Brushless ESC x 4 28-XX 1100~1300KV Brushless motor x 4 8x4~9x5 Propeller - 2 standard/2 reverse rotation
User manual available for download located under "Files" tab.
Note: All Hobbyking X series frames are purchased factory direct. We have worked closely with the factory engineers to ensure quality. All X series frames are CNC cut and accurately milled unlike many of the cheap frames available from Ebay or Chinese vendors that are drilled by hand in low tech factories. The Hobbyking X series also feature thicker GF main plates for added stength.
Yeah those motors will work but that might be a little overkill! those motors are beasts, if you plan on putting alot of gear on your quad with these motors, make sure you get a nice beefy battery to run it all.
Hello, Im fairly new to this hobby so I was wondering if this setup will actually work. If you could help me out that would be great.

props are good- you could even go 8 inch instead, motors look good- ESC's are a little lightweight...I run 25amp on mine.(not sure on the correct math)-battery will give you 8 mins if it is a nanotech turnigy - get anything above 25c or they won't last long...I use 3000mah on mine- little longer flight time. Are you getting a radio? 9xr perhaps...and a good balance charger.
Perfect folding frame for beginners. It's heavier than a carbon one, but also not so fragile and expensive! If you have a little crash it will fold saving itself and other parts from damage. One more nice feature it has: spring loaded legs will save your electronics from impact when landing hard.

Just an Initial review, have not flown yet.
So far this seems to be a great Quad frame. Folds up nice and i can hang it on the side of my tool box to keep it out of harms way.
One note if using the Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board, you can only mount it one way because the bullet connectors will be in the way of the arms unless you solder them at a different angle.
I did have one spring that was broken but it was just the eye that attaches to the arm "spring-> (_IIIIIIII_) < This little hook was broken" But i just pulled a little of the spring out and made a new hook.
I also had some left over hardware too which is nice. You can also make it non-foldable by flipping the top plate over so the arms can't slide. Some of the holes needed to be enlarged VERY little so the bolts could pass through. Have not flown this yet but i will leave a review when i do.

If you are new to air RC like I am and you click the prop drive motor in the combo section, make sure you also order the accessory kit to go with the motor or you will have to make another order once you figure it out. I ordered the shaft type prop adapters that will not work with this kit. Oh well, live and learn.
nice product well made some issues with the springs on the legs little heads up fit them beffore you add the other half of leg otherwise its impossable to fit. the wight is 400G with all screws needed. alot of extra screws in box
