Wow all of the 10x4.5's seem to be like gold. All sold out with large abounts being sold in a single day. Whould have been nice if HK would have held a few sets back for small order customers insted of allowing order to take over 200 units and clear the whole stock out.
i want to make a normal size quad.. will these propellers are good choice to make it work??? and yes can someone tell me the difference b/t "slow fly" n "standard rotation". :)
What do you think is a normal size quad? If you pick a frame and tell me if you want to lift extra things I can help you to choose props and motors. "Slow fly" is a propeller style used on slow flying planes, but they are also very suitable for multirotors. You need two types of propellers on a quad: two clockwise rotating and two counterclockwise. Standard rotation means counterclockwise which mostly is used on planes.
And this is standard prop? Is a "standart" prop the same with "right handed"? for example i cant find difference with this: www.link props are the same?
It fits perfectly on the iFly 4! It has a 6mm hole plus a 9mm larger hole in the bottom. You only have to use one of the spacer rings that comes with it, the 8mm one, to fit on the motor's shaft. Really good prop, perfectly balanced, absolely alternative for the original props.
I wasted a month trying to fly my quad using two props of these and the other RH version with no luck. It could be a matter of balancing required, but who knows what was wrong in the first build and first fly! Thankfully I ordered another set and replaced it, then it flied flawlessly
I ordered other set from hobbyking:
10x4.5 SF Props 2pc Standard Rotation/2 pc RH Rotation (Orange) - $2.80
Please bear in mind that was my case and i was just saying it. I don't really know what went wrong with these shiny black props. Even when I was flying well with the new props, I turned to the black ones and they are refusing to fly
HK, it would have been nice if you could have ordered than 39 sets of props of these and the RH sets of these props. You stocked them when it was in the middle of the night here and they were sold out before I woke up.
With something that costs more that might make some sense, but to place an order for 3.07 USD and then pay what, 18 USD for shipping doesn't make a lot of sense. If I ordered these I will also order something else so that I am not going to pay 95% shipping 5% product.
Wow That is very expensive postage. It should be no more then $2.99 as it goes on weight and size here in the UK. If its telling you $18 maybe you should contact Hobbyking about that bug. Best o luck
If I use the post office it will either take a month to get here or they will lose it, the local post office is useless. I didn't actually calculate the postage because I did not order it, I was guessing what the EMS shipping cost would be. Even with normal postage I would be paying substantially more for shipping than for the part so it is not worth it to order a single 2.90 USD part just to reserve one.
helo gyzz.. you might b adding EMS express shipping it delivers with in 3-7days after order. you can opt for Air Parcel : 6-21 Days transit time.(Incl. Registration) it could take less amount than EMS shipping and it is not expensive. can check it out while confirming your ordering.
The LH 1045 props can be found in the same location you found these props Multi-Rotors & Parts > Propellers or Hardware & accessories > Propellers > SF Propellers. You may need to wait until stocks arrive.
i have those and the adapter is a little big for a 3mm shaft, so it seems it would fit a 3.17mm pretty good, anyway, the adapter is soft plastic, so with a bit of force i think you could make it even 3.20.
The short answer is yes.
They are fair. I like to use APC 1045 props...much smoother (for quadcopter)though I purchased some of these for testing things....much cheaper and if either type hit the ground they break. Might as well break the cheap ones!
One set is CCW and the other is CW rotation. Generally for use on twin motor aircraft to counteract torque reaction from two motors going in the same direction.
It's a prop. Does what it's suppost to. Put them on my Xcopter. Pretty flexible prop. I'm new to quadcopters so they seem to take a beating and they are cheap.
Standard forward prop, does the job well, light crashes doesn't break easily, pretty balanced and comes in pack of 4 with holes adapter. Fix on my Quadcopter without problem with a 1000kv motor, AUW 1kg lift is easy.
