Been checking this daily for nearly 2 weeks, every time it says "goods will be available within 30 days" Any one have a clue how long it will be? or who to ask ? Want this motor bad reviews are good sounds good plus its one of the higher kv rated 21.5t so should rev higher, any one know why some 21.5t like hpi flux are 1550kv but this one is 1855kv? .....
 Dean 16 points
HK's waiting times are like watching a toaster to see when things are ready. China finished a major holiday a few weeks ago so there could be some holdup because of that. It's more than likely to be the specs (1855kv) given by the original manufacturer. not all motors are created equal although this one is not too bad.

I just put this motor in my F1 car and it's great! I'm impressed with the quality. It betters my old motor in every way.

Run this in my TC4 in the VTA class here and it runs like a champ!!! Was thinking about getting a spare but since it runs so well it might just sit in my parts box too long :P

I have run this in an 10th scale F1 with 0 timing speed control. This motor is on par with the best out there for performance and wins big time because of price. Unfortunately due to a heavy accident I have bent the rotor shaft :( not a fault with the motor. Would like to know if a replacement rotor is available ?

I need help, I can not cofigurar my engine with my esc someone to help me. and try in various ways and nothing, the engine will be decomposed? This is what I have, greetings and thanks. Turnigy TrackStar 21.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 1855KV Hobby King HKSS programming card for HK 150A ESC HobbyKing X-Car Brushless Car ESC 45A (sensored / sensorless)
 turtlehill 35 points
Check your esc manual and do the throttle calibration after hooking up to the receiver. It won't run without calibrating. After you calibrate the throttle, you should have forward and reverse control. To program the esc, turn off the power swith on the esc and remove the connector from the receiver and plug it into the programming card. Power on the esc and you will be able to do the programming. After that, power off the esc and plug it bach into the receiver and you are ready to go.

how are you ment to attach the wires to these motors? its near impossible to solder wires onto the tiny forked tabs sticking out of the motor... is there a plug or a clip thats ment to just clip onto it or something? please help
 colinpearce90 6 points
What i have done for these motors is trimmed and tinned the esc wires, lay the wire so it runs along the motor and sits in the groove i have then found that soldering the end of this wire flush with the forks with the wire sat in it recessed is more than adequate.
 marcos 65 points
hello, you must first add tin in each slot, then add tin the wire.
When we did this we add the two sides and heated until the tin of the two parties is all one.
We will need to make a slight pressure between the parties to this process.
Make sure we have not accidentally attached terminals.

two of these is an E-MAXX? ANYGOOD?
 Steven 2 points
No, this motor hasn't enough torque or power to run in an E-Maxx.

Is it possible to drive this Motor on a Novac Brushless Crawler ESC?
How will it be possible to make it Waterproof ?
 Krycek 43 points
Habitually, there is no need to waterproof the Motor. But the ESC, servo and the receiver have to. You can run this motor with the Novac. To use the full power/features of this motor you have to connect with a ESC that support sensored motor.
MACBO  28 points - 11/29/2012

puedo usar este motor en un crawler?

can i use this motor in a crawler?
 Krycek 43 points
Of course, low kv and high torque is good for crawling. I have one in my Axial Wraith that is dedicate more to crawling than speed.

I oredered the same esc with a 17.5 tracstar motor. Hows the combination going on?
Grazy  29 points - 10/28/2012

Any sugestion on a ESC for this motor please.
Looks like there are not much of a range, if any ESC's that will handle a motor with high turns, low KV.
 Gabriel 8 points
buy a Turnigy 45a sensored/ sensorless ESC. It will work great.

Thanks Gabriel. I'm a bit suspicious now about Turnigy ESC's. I got a 100A one, and it burned a 17,5T turnigy motor, both out of the box.
I think I'll go for The HK X car ones as I ordered a 60A 4000KV combo for another old cheap car upgrade, and that combo just go like greased lightning, with no hassles at all. Not a good idea to put that in a rock racer like the SCX10 Axial.
 Gabriel 8 points
Good choice. You must ask for the compatible programming card for that esc if you don't have it yet.
 Grazy 29 points
Yes, they have the card as part of the combo, and I'm very pleased with that. I also ordered the Turnigy card with the 100A ESC, and that did not help much. Tried al possible settings, with and without the sensor cable, but my final conclusion is a failure of the ESC. Probably will send it back if and when I touch ground again. My daughter gets married on Saturday and things are just hectic here.

Does anyone run this motor sensorless?
Simo97  5 points - 7/12/2012

Why this motor not support 3s?
 Stephen 2 points
You can run it on 3 cell Lipo but check motor temp after a few minutes running. Make sure motor temp does not exceed 120 degrees Farenheit. Most of the recent '540' size motors are designed for 2 cell Lipo power as that is what most people race. Get a lower wind motor and run on 2 cell power.
 Simo97 5 points
I want a lot of torque, I'd like put this motor on crawler...
 Grazy 29 points
Simo97, I.ve got the same idea, but need a ESC that will run this motor sensored. Maybe you can make a suggestion there please
 troy 4 points
I have this on its way and I'm planning on using a 45amp xcar esc.
 Grazy 29 points
Troy, I got myself confused with the Turnigy 100A. Looks like I got a bad faulty one, and I read the manual wrong afterwards. I'm new with the electrical things, so I thought that the ESC cannot handle above 9,5T motor. Did not take note of the ">" in the manual.(Faceplant)
 troy 4 points
Yer it is 9.5 or above. I received it today, put in my scx 10(scale crawler) and it's a great combo. Nice control at low speed and enough high end speed for what i want.
 Grazy 29 points
Thanks Troy. Will get one with the 45A HK ESC.
I put the DIG gearbox in the SCX 10 kit, with a adaptor plate mod, to stop the driveshaft from rubbing against the Y-link. Works nice, an dthat motor combo should be good.
 troy 4 points
my scx10 is standard so i dont have that problem. i keep the dig and stuff like that for my xr10

is it good motor for crawlers ? i want to build one but i dont know about rock crawlers structure, thanks...
 nobull22 3 points
i got this motor on my crawler it's good and smooth..
 Simo97 5 points
You have used this motor at 2 o 3 cells lipo?
 nobull22 3 points
only for 2S lipo mate..
 Simo97 5 points
Have this motor good torque at 2s? What crawler do you use this motor?
 troy 4 points
yes this is good motor for scaler but not so much crawler. for crawler like xr10 use brushed. i have this in my scx10 and its great but wouldnt be too good in my xr10

Bought and mounted this in my Axial SCX-10 Dingo, with a Turnigy Trackstar 1/10th 60A Sensored ESC. Works fantastic! In the beginning I just stuffed it in the car, and thought I had the sensor turned on, and all was fine, no bogging or anything like that. Then when I started looking closer on the electronics, after the initial fun was over, and I realised the sensor wasn't turned on, I activated it, and the thing became even better. It can now REALLY crawl!

Bom motor, instalado no meu F103 e F104, anda muito bem, ainda fazendo alguns testes com turbo mas responde muito bem. veremos na pista como se comporta, para o camp brasileiro em agosto.
