Can the fan be mounted backwards(rotated 180 degrees) so the motor is ahead of the fan? In this configuration the motor would mount in the housing as expected. The housing would be installed rotated 180 degrees so the fan would operate in pusher configuration.

Fijate que dice que le podes sacar 5000w en 44.4V. Eso es un poco mas de 100Amp. Si tenes baterí*as de 8 Amp Hora vas a volar 5 min a toda la potencia. Con todas las reducciones que puedas hacer yo creo que lo podras llevar a 7 pero mepa que las baterias esas son muy pesadas.

44.4volts x 980kv = 43512. That's correct, however that refers to unloaded rpm. You must subtract approximately 20% to 40% once you add a fan, which would give you anywhere from 26000 to 34000 rpm. Variables are number of fan blades, pitch, etc.

Just wondering how you get 38,000 rpm out of 12s 44.4v X 980kv = 43,512 rpm's Anyone ?

It doesn't say it WILL do 38000rpm, it says "Max RPM: 38,000". I think they are talking about the maximum safe rpm for the fan itself.

43,512 theoretically, which rarely happens. air pressure, air resistance, internal resistance, friction, weight of the fan all contributes to more realistic rpm

980Kv is the NO LOAD speed of the motor. Once it is driving a fan and drawing 5000W it will "bog down" a bit. Expect anywhere from 10% - 25% specific speed reduction in all electrical setups.
