Hello I have a Turnigy 1/16 Brushless 4WD Short Course Truck Will this combination remained strong in Him, the engine can handle it weight?
 Adalberto 4 points
!!! great combo motoresc, now i have a nice car sct !!
 boim77 32 points
hai adalberto, did you use this combo for turnigy 1/16 4WD SCT? how about a motor mount, is it fit for turnigy 1/16 brushless 4WD SCT?. or anyone can help me because my motor was burnout? thanks all
 Adalberto 4 points
So far it is working well! I use it more to see if he can handle.
 boim77 32 points
and is it fit for turnigy 1/16 brushless 4WD SCT or you replace the motor mount?
 David 1 points
Yes you can. The holes line up. You would not need a new motor mount. But the 1/16 cars have a bigger engine than this. A much longer motor can. This will be a little under powered for a 1/16.
Ronald  7 points - 1/22/2013

I would not get this for a 1/10 crawler because this esc and motor combo isnt powerful enough to carry a 1/10 crawler through the rocks i would suggest the hobbyking xcar 17.5 turn system. Hope this helped!!!!
Marshall  1 points - 1/22/2013

would this work for a 1/10 scale crawler? Not looking for speed just a little power to get up rocks and hills
Adalberto  4 points - 1/21/2013

Olá* eu tenho um Turnigy 1/16 Brushless 4WD Short Course Truck será* que esse combo fica forte nele, o motor aguenta seu peso?

Hello, I have a Mini-T and the holes 14 mm, this engine is good for me?
Falkirk  2 points - 12/26/2012

Hello I just received this combo and putted it in 1/18 turnigy f1 kart and saw weird thing. even without pinion gear when motor shaft is free it acts weird. when going from standing or low rpm to high rpm drastically sometimes it maintenance low rpm for second or two, and after that lag it goes to high rpm if I'm still holding the trigger. Is it normal? some kind of overload protection? or is my esc broken? tested on two different tx/rx and acted just the same. When hitting gas few times it goes normal 2-3 times and then another 1-2 times lags for 1-2 seconds... Halp?
 Falkirk 2 points
It isn't even powerful enough to maintain a steady reverse, and it's jumpy. Is this combo broken? i don't know send it back or not?

I have a losi 1/18 raminator that uses a 370 motor. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern will fit the 380 motor?
 Mark-Temba 15 points
Chances are it won't however I put this in my mini-recon and just drilled some new holes. Fit's like a glove now.
joshuav  78 points - 9/29/2012

Will this motor fit a third-party heatsink? Will credit.
 Mark-Temba 15 points
Yes, a 3rd party heatsink will fit. However, the motor already has heatsink on it so the effect will not be as good as when you put a heatsink on a motor without the small fins.

I have a 1/16 HSP Short Co**** Truck brushed. Will this be a straight foward fit (Bolt patern) & if yes what pinion would i need?

I have the brushed set up with the 7.2V Ni Cad's at the moment but i have plenty of 2s Lipo's i can use
Cheers
 Vasco 21 points
You can use the same pinion that you use atm, so did i for my team losi baja bug 1/18

Does anyone know if this power system would work in the HK 1/18 Scale 4WD RTR On-Road Drift Car ?
 Vasco 21 points
Yes it works, but i would recomend the 10T version since you have a 4wd, i got this 14T on my 2wd mini-baja from losi. :)
 Mark-Temba 15 points
Yes it will work without any issues. I wouldn't recommend the 10T as it is far too powerful and would make controlling your car quite difficult. I have the 14T in a mini-recon and it's already wild with a 2S lipo and crazy wild with 3S lipo! Enjoy.

Thanks for the info!

Hello, I have a Himoto HI4185br - EXB-16 - 1:16 SCALE 4WD RTR ELECTRIC POWER OFF ROAD BUGGY W/2.4G REMOTE, this combo serves this model? Need to replace the battery? thank you
 speed maniac 63 points
use it for this buggy . You don'have to change the battery but if you want performance , use lipo 2s or 3s . I'm using a nano-tech 1.3 , 2s in a 1/18 short course truck and it's crazy! the truck is an hsp caribe ....very powerfull...

The motor does not fit a duratrax vendetta buggy. The mounting holes are too narrow. Can someone point me to a 1/18 scale off road vehicule on which the motor will fit without modification please ?
 ripcurl777 341 points
I dont know any car in wich this Motor will fit without Mods. But in case of the MT18T ot the HPI MiniRecon (Both same Platform) you can easy drill tow holes cuas this motorplates have enought space

Will this fit run and have plenty of power without overheating fast in the losi mini 8ight???
 ripcurl777 341 points
i use it in a MiniRecon 1/18 and it is too much for it. Possible tu use it, try it! Its only a few bucks for a complete Brushless system

Can i use this for a Mini Crawler ? If not what do you reccomend ? THX !
 ripcurl777 341 points
Hi* fits perfectly for a Crawler. With the Programmingcard you can set the DragBrake with is very useful for a Crawler
Darijo  2 points - 4/10/2012

will this be a good replacement for the Brushless Inrunner 2040-4800kv motor and 25A Brushless 2~3S (with Reverse) esc found in the 1/16 Brushless 4WD Mini Rally - Extreme Edition
 Strussen 208 points
No, it wont make any differents. The motor you've got now is 4800KV, this motor is only 4300KV. So this motor would give a lower top speed. Remember to credit me, if it was helpful. If you've got any further questions feel free to ask :)
 ripcurl777 341 points
Perfect ESC! Fits like a Charm in the HPI Mini Recon. With 3S the Mini Recon is a Rocket. Like the way to Program the ESC with the Programming Card, let me choose the right Settings (Timing and Punch Cunchcontrol) to not melt down the Diffs of the Mini Recon.

Ordered one of these and it won't fit in my Tamiya TamTech GB-01 Hornet. The widest screw holes are too narrow for the Tamtech mounting plate, and there isn't really a way to drill different holes. Are there any sort of motor mounting adapters or something that I could use with this?
 ripcurl777 341 points
The Shaft of this Brushless inrunner is very long, so you can simply use 1 to 2 mm metal plate or alloy plate and Drill the holes for the Tamtechplate and the Trackstar Brushless motor in 1/4 different angles. so you have enough shapft lenght to mount the pinion.
Tim  1 points - 3/18/2012

lol! my motor shaft is completely round, so how should i screw the pinion on it? ^^ are your shafts also round? if yes, how do you get your pinions in place? on the pictures up there it looks like ordinary shafts with one side flat...
 Zeratul 76 points
look at it carefully I have this combo and the shaft has a section that is flat...you just have to look carefully.
 Tim 1 points
no, mine is completely round. is it a good idea to file it flat on one side manually? or may this result in an out of centre running behaviour?
 ripcurl777 341 points
Mine has a flat section... its hard to see but it is there!
 speed maniac 63 points
file it flat just a little bit , if you didn'tfind de flat .... this may not result in a running out of center . I try it and a never expériment vibration .
K-Note72  64 points - 3/7/2012

anyone know if it fits in a 1/16 erevo?
 Zeratul 76 points
Yes it fits Im running it on mine.
 K-Note72 64 points
how well does it run? does it act weak or underpowered?
 ripcurl777 341 points
i think it fits but its is underpowered, i have mine in a HPI Mini Recon and it Works perfect. But the 1/16revo (sold mine) is a bit too big for this i think.

Isn't it the same as the toro brushless system
It has the same functions, but this system is the Turnigy.
 ripcurl777 341 points
i don't think so. Its Turnigy, works Perfect and the Programming Options are just PErfect

Will this work on a losi mini desert buggy?
 Shiftking 16 points
Yes this will work for the lido mini 1/18 but not the micro 1/28
 ripcurl777 341 points
Yes it fits, but you have to drill other holes for the motor.
charles  2 points - 1/28/2012

I will be buying this setup for my HPI Mini Recon and using standard NIMH batteries at 7.2v. How do you think this system will do in it?
 charles 2 points
I will leave a review once this system is installed in my Mini Recon.
 Adam 41 points
hpi recon might be too heavy. i just tried the esc in the losi mini 8, no timing no punch and it gets warm. the recon i imagine to be heavier, the motor is 20mm in diameter with the finning.
 charles 2 points
the mini8 is longer and wider, and has and aluminum chassis. Chances are that it weighs more than the recon.
 ripcurl777 341 points
i have this system in my Mini Recon! The Power is a lot! better than the RTR Brushed motor also on my NIMH 7.2 volts. You can set the Timing higher (i use 5) and get more Power. But for me NIMH are quiet good. With the 3S on it, i can only run on large places, its took fast
 Mark-Temba 15 points
I have just popped this little monster in my M-R last night. I had to drill 2 new holes in the mount. You will also need 2 new M2.5x6mm screws. Using a nimh battery provided enough power compared to the stock motor but I have chosen to use the nano-tech 2s and 3s 1800Mah Airsoft batteries - wow!
Brandon  1 points - 1/17/2012

Will this motor fit on the losi late model? Will it run better also?
 Adam 41 points
i ran this in my losi mini late. all you need to do is on the losi's motor mount, the bottom screw mount for the motor needs to be drilled closer to the opening for the shaft and the hole spacings is alittle too wide for the motor to mount. works great. it wont wheelie on a 2s on the road though, but its a long car, and fairly heavy. it spins the wheels like crazy though.used this motor in the losi mlm on a dirt oval

With a little modification its fit in a Maverick Atom 1/18 buggy. Nice and reliable product. The program card is recommended but with the default setting you can also use.

The motor does not fit into a 1/18 Losi mini sprint. The bolt pattern does not line up. I am going to try to make a custom motor plate myself because the original one does not work with this motor.

Excellent little combo. I'm using this in a losi Mini T. It takes just a little modification of the stock motor mount to get your screw holes to line up but other than that installation was very easy. This system makes the Minit T a real blast! Programmed with the least amount of punch off the line (get the programming card as well!!!!) and it still wants to pull the front off the ground! Great little system and can not be beat for the price. Some of the best money I have spent in R/C.
