any trouble shooting tips?
I put this servo on my HK tricopter, I made one flight with it landed just fine...
Next day turned on tricopter servo rotated tail motor all the way right and stopped, I've plugged in a different servo it it's place and it works fine.... Expensive servo for one flight, any suggestions?

it probably went too far and got stuck and burned just when turning on the power.

this servant serves the trex 450 pro ????
 cmartin 288 points
Yes, it should be a very good election for that purpose.

how is that possible? this is small servo and wont perfectly fit pro tail mount.... will need to make an adapter!!! or mounting servo mount from V1/V2

Looks like an alternative to the MKS DS95i. Great value, if that's the case, but I hate the color. I can handle read/silver, but not blue/silver. Perhaps it will appeal to the CopterX users.

Do I really read a price tag of over $60!?! This better be one nice servo Hobbyking........

This speed should let you run a very cyclic high gain on the Flybarless gyros...right?

Anyone bought yet? seems very expensive but good looking (full alloy) and strudy Reviews would be great

Looks like the MKS one... wonder if it's the same product/same quality?

Seems to be quite nice cyclics for a 450

Cyclic? Nice tail servo I would think. Bit of overkill for cyclic. Be interesting to see a review of this servo as from the reading I have done Blue Bird servos do not have a very good rep.
 jfl2911 35 points
can be used as a cyclic servo, wont be overkill... i am sure that small fbl heli would like to have faster servo on cyclics becouse of the response...

*Smash77... I agree on the quality of the BMS servos from years ago. I had a plastic case servo, but the case shattered when the front wheel of the car hit the side of the house. The servo case was the only damage. fibreglassed it all back together and it is still running. I also have a metal cased BMS servo running steering duties in another 1/8th scale buggy with no hassles. This buggy has done jumps off freestyle motocross ramps and landed cartwheeling with no breakages. So like a lot of things, their quality has improved over the years. If the tail servo in my Mini-Titan gives up I will look at replacing it with one of these

Hi there,

ordered this servo because of need for a super heli tail servo. As I noticed this one is the best quality servo I ever held in hands. No sloop, no shivering, stays cold, super fast and absolute precise. Best choice for perfectionists.

Amazing servo. I'm using it for the roll on a ultra light gimbal, and gimbals require the highest requirements from servos. And this meets them all!! Its fast, strong, and extremely smooth, centers perfectly. The only issue I had was that the servo is directly connected to the bottom plate, which gives a ratio of 1:1 angle of camera to angle of servo. Since there is just a very little bit of free movement due to the metal gears, the gimbal was oscillating between the 2 lsbs of the 12 bit adc, causing a wobble in the video. So I had to dampen then movement by adding some soft foam between the movements, and now it works perfect.
