Does anyone know where can i find replacement bearings for this motor?
 roberted5 104 points
Better off buying another motor unless you plan to rewind it also.
Boca bearings has a very good reputation.

I bought two of these motors and both of them stopped suddenly in the air after 5 minutes without any reason. The motor didnt get warm and i tried with different speed controllers. Prop was 9x6 and lipo was 3 cells 25c from zippy. If i reconnect the batterie with the speed controller the motor runs again but just for 1-2 miutes. Any ideas what im doing wrong?
 dubaudio 12 points
What Mah rating is your battery ? On a 1000 Mah Battery you can only expect about 5min time , good motor very smooth & powerful, but * 15 amps flight times may be shorter if you are upgrading for more power . Sounds like normal operation or maybe dying battery. Upgrade your battery or charger perhaps ?

3x8x3.5 BEARINGS?
Hi all,
Does somebody knows where i can find spare bearings for this motors?
I will appreciate a positive answer.
Good flights to all.
 __AlFu 38 points
I've got my spare bearings at a hardware shop for industrial standard parts.

Hy folks,
i run this engine with a 3S and a 10x4.7 APC in normal conditions in a foamy parkflyer. 5-10 flights and the motor begun to stutter. Reason 4 that is, after i tried to analyse this, that the used solder of the wiring looses connection. So that's ***r ***r quality today. With others i bought months before i had not that problems and i was satisfied. Maybe the cheaper they go, the worse they become or the manufacturer has a real quality problem.

Hi thanks for your review. Put this in the review section though so people can read it. You even get points for that. Now you can only give me points for pointing that out to you *-).

I got one of these and it runs like a dog on a 3 cell lipo.. I tested other motors with the ESC and battery and its the motor, really really slow and no power. Connected to Watts up and it draws a total of 0.8A at full throttle with a 40A ESC..
Am I missing something or is this just a dud?
 Luiz Fernando 15 points
Looks like you got a bad unit. Ive had 4 or 5 of these motors and they all worked as specified. This motor is a blast on my Formosa with a TGS 8x7 prop.

I have just bought this motor to replace the brushed motor on my Sig EP42. Do you know of a stock motor mount to bolt directly to the firewall.
 Buddy31 14 points
I made a motor mount out of 3/16" lite ply. Now to see if it will fly.
 Buddy31 14 points
The motor mount works great and the motor runs very good but the prop adapter is no good. ***r metal and the threads stripped when I tightened the prop.

Hi
Is it possible to use this motor on a CAP 232 from 930mm wing span and 800mm lenght? I suppose you have to use then a 9X6 prop but is it powerful enough?

Grtz
 Dan 26 points
I run a 10x4.7 on it and get static 220watts..pulls 19 amps..

Hi, I am looking for a replacement prop adapter for this motor, the one that attaches via 4 screws. Is this product carried by hobby king? If so could somebody send me a link?

I cannot find this prop adapter either. The one that came with my motor was not very good material and the threads stripped when I tightened the prop. I need one too
 Buddy31 14 points
I looked under all kinds of accessories and cannot find it.

Very easy to find* In your address field in your browser (IE, firefox) the last bit of URL in the line says ?idproduct=2048 (or whatever number.) simply delete the number and change to 7198 which is the product number of the KDA A20-**M motor accessory Pack.

I intend to buy two of these for my "Protech Voyager", a foam twin-motor plane which looks like a twin star, 140cm wingspan. What ESC's should I buy ?
 T.rex.450 175 points
I use this motor with the Turnigy Plush 25A ESC and it works wery good with this motor.

hi can you tell me the diameter for this motor please.
Steff
 webber 1614 points
If you meant the diameter of the axel - it is 3,175mm
The diameter of the opposite mounting device seems to be about5mm - I drill holes in GWS and other props to fit them.
dmarlin  15 points -

I was wondering if I can buy parts for this motor...specifically the X mount adapter on the back and the prop adapter on the front. Thanks

Ran ok plenty of power, however once warmed up on full throttle the motor jams violently until you back off! So will stick to an emax 2215 20 from now on

Motor is broken out of box. Hooked it up to my ESC and it shutters and shakes and gets extremely hot. Motor will rotate freely by hand and seems to be in good condition.....oh well must have gotten a dud!
