hi there I need a motor and esc replacement for this car.. can anyone tell me what a good upgrade combo would be? I use this for drift and touring so some top speed would be nice
the only motor that fits without modification is this one ( 2040 Brushless Inrunner Motor 4800kv PRODUCT ID: 259000001 )and an esc to suit is this (

2s is more more more than enough for this car and you can use 3s with the stock esc but the motor after some time will be fried... but esc is fine i always run 3s using this esc on the buggy ! enjoy
the only upgrades I have found necessary are the 4 dog bones, as my plastic ones twisted and then wobbled, the ali ones make the car run much nicer, I also had to modify the front diff to make it permanently locked
And still a question about Metal gear Digital Servo? whether it is possible here what to pick up? If there is an indisputable advantage that I is ready to pay $20. Thanks in advance =)
the only one i can find that would fit with metal gear is this one ( 9306MG Metal Gear Servo 7.4g / 1.1kg / .16sec )
but Im not sure if its digital, why do you need a heavy duty servo anyway, one of the others would be fine for the drift car ?
the only thing I have replaced on mine is the 4 dog bones, I upgraded to the aluminium ones as my original plastic dog bones twisted and ran with a wobble, I also modified the front diff by removing the balls from the center as it started to slip and this car drifts better with locked diffs
Ohh and order a spare set of wheels because if you run it as much as I do you will need a new set of wheels in a couple of weeks, they dont last long, im going to test the extreme rally drift wheels soon which are a bit bigger and may need the body trimmed to fit but would last a lot longer
I'm looking for a car that I can use 3s 2200 Lipo's.... I have read thru and haven't seen where anyone use these, Anyone know of any cars that you can use these with? I just have So many of these Lipo's, it would be nice to use em....... Thanks for ANY help......
Actually looks like a kill board like was painted on the side of ally fighters in ww2, but hey, what do I know? Heli, not being politically correct, people have very thin skins nowadays. Most of the 1/10 and under cars are designed for 2s batteries, but check the specs on the esc's. If they'll handle 3s and the batteries will fit the tray, go for it. I'm guessing you have a stack of 2200's or there about? Your run time won't be long. Electric heli's and rc cars are different animals.
I like others I have found that make this car go from forward to reverse you need to push two or three times. When ESC ignores you there is a little yellow light. When it obeys there is a light red light. Anyone have any details on the ESC, either to program this feature out, or plain replace it a more friendly 25A ESC.

i get over half an hours out of you 2cell 2200mah 40-80c lipo and it give tflat out performance till its cut off at 3v per cell it runs alot harder then my 1100mah www.link
I get about 15 minutes on run time on a zippy 2s 2200 40c pack on a large track. The track we run on is made for 1/10 and 1/8 scale racing. Has some real nice long turns and you really have to work the throttle

Hello, what's the size of the hex to adjust camber and toe? The wheel nuts is 5.5mm, right? I'm waiting my car to arrive and I want to buy the right tools to remove the tires and adjust camber and toe to maximize the drift performance.
Improvement needed:
- It has a low level of lubrication. (Can be arranged)
-The motor hasn´t rear bearing. Produces heat. (Can be arranged)
- The ESC works very poorly in reverse.
-The servo clashes with management. (Can be arranged)
- The gear servo is not metal.
-The screws are passed to the first. Low quality.
-The bodbones are fragile. No aluminum parts.
- The rear differential is rigid. Drift cars in the rear wheels turn more than the front. It has the same front and rear developments. Pinion 14 teeth
- Low level of aluminum parts and options.
- Body very dark. Low level detail.

OK i received mine yesterday and i can tell that i was really impressed with the looks of this little car, i personally love it, but not only that, i can drift with this car way better than my 1/10 scale. I was able to fit a 2s 2000mah zippy battery and i cant really tell u the exact run time cause after 30min of unstopping drifting the battery was still good, just for that reason alone this is a keeper for me.
Now the bads: ESC is crap! i can't even go reverse and can't find a way to reprogram it, sometimes i turn it on and it goes reverse until i press forward on the transmitter, didn't bring the antenna tube (no big deal), wing was completely loose, and there was some parts that were over tightened, overall the car needed some adjustments out of the box but is still pretty damn good deal for $100 shipped.
I think anyone that like a 1/16-1/18 scale car/truck will love this one.
Problem with the BRUSHLESS motor, this part is not serviceable - appear the motor shaft bearing came off inside in the motor - caused overheating and ruin the main gear connected to the MAIN SHAFT. Only use this less than 5 minutes. Working on the warranty with HK

check if everything is working properly. the esc mine is defective. I believe that verification not even sell it. Cheap one can understand why!
