Darkwing FPV Drone 1727mm Composite (ARF)

Darkwing FPV Drone 1727mm Composite (ARF)
Darkwing FPV Drone 1727mm Composite (ARF)

The H-King Darkwing is a huge composite flying wing designed specifically for FPV, with it's sleek design and menacing lines, this is one fantastic looking model!

The central fuselage section and winglets are made from sturdy fiberglass, while the wing is sheeted, traditional construction balsa for durability. Despite it's size, the Darkwing is practical with both wings being plug in, this model can be field assembled in minutes and is easy to transport. Being a delta, it is of course a simple 2 servo affair, there is a massive amount of space in under the large canopy for Lipoly's and FPV equipment, the motor mount is also very substantial, obviously motor choice will depend on payload. The Darkwing has no undercarriage and will require a launch ramp, alternatively, conversion to fixed or even retracting undercarriage will be reasonably simple for the experienced modeller.

The Darkwing will undoubtedly make for a fantastic sport flying model courtesy of it's efficient and sleek aerodynamic design, but at it's heart, this is a futuristic looking FPV platform that features a high payload capability and has excellent stall & glide characteristics. The sheer size and menacing lines of the Darkwing will cause jaws to drop wherever you fly, this is one radical looking model that is perfect for the high tech world of FPV.

Possible to install Sony a6000 camera under this model?
 James Edington 34 points
possible yes, would need to mod the power set up. and then also there is the fact that it is is a really good camera that you don't want to damage. i found this on eBay (40M 130ft Waterproof Underwater Housing Case For Sony A6000 Camera 16-50mm Lens) it may offer some protection. also it would mean huge drag effect hauling such a big camera. also you need to put thought into take off and landing it will be difficult the camera slung underneath p.s. if you buy an aircraft as a camera ship for that sony don't go cheap get the best quality gear like hight torque metal gear servos and a good power set up.

It comes only the plane, no motor, no servos, no cameras, no ESC, no battery no TX or RX. You have to mount the FPV equipment external, including antenas. But it´*s a great plane with a awesome shape. Flies terrific

Is this item is intended to be available from the EU Warehouse?

I was woundering if you could put a EDF jet engine in this plane and if so what would be a good size for it?
 James Edington 34 points
you could probably use 1 or 2 90mm fans and you would have to make custom attachments to them and put them above where the firewall would go. the cheapest way to do that would be to get a 90 degree fire wall like on the Flite test FT versa then glue or bolt the fans on (you probably want to bolt ) .but if you do that the centre of thrust will end up above your centre of gravity meaning that when the you apply throttle is will have a tendency to pitch nose down. if you do it you will need to tinker with thrust angle. most people who try something like this just put weight further back and changing centre of gravity. this is fine at high speed but leads to really bad stall characteristics at low speed. if you wanted internal EDF you could use 2 50mm fans but that would deliver next to no power and you would have to do massive mods to the airframe as you need to get air into your. there is also the problem that it would be heaps inaficent you would probably need a huge 4s to get a decent flight time (like 10 mins) and you would run very close to the gross weight meaning no room for fpv.

gli alettoni sono un cm. più corti,la colorazione sul dorso dovrebbe essere bianca, la capottina manca degli incastri,il foro per i servi và realizzato nella parte superiore dell'ala, finitura verniciata discreta

This Darkwing flies really well, it is really stable and the speed was ok. I used 4cell 5000mah with motor 950kw and a 12/6 prop. However the color black isn’t my first choice for this airplane, in a distance it gets difficult to see so I crashed mine. Good airplanes just don’t fly long way from the starting point. Now I ordered the new x8 (white)

For the only person that I actually have seen fling this plane, It is a pain to take off the ground! if you don't have a body" to tow your plane, The expenses of making a launch ramp have to be added to this model! but may be the mos annoying thing is the the cockpit cover, It is hard to keep it from falling down out of the plane and the fact that is not clear make at least for me a very hard decision to put the money on to it! I hope that they make the proper adjustments! like the option ready, of landing gear. Because there are lots of people like me that constantly are looking for a better platform for our UAV's, and all those styrofoam planes eventually wear out! living use with almost nothing! Hey I have an X8 from sky walker! and if your don't take the time to cover it either on fiberglass or in some kind of Vinyl tape! your will have a pile of garbage on not time! so please HB keep in mind people like us!

I fitted my drone with twin Leopard EDF jet engines. It looks great, flies great and sounds great. I also gave it a fixed tail to eliminate flat spins and fixed landing gear for easy take offs and landings.
