I have bought this with the Turnigy Joystick and can not get anything to work, anyone can help, that need connection???
would it work with the Turnigy ER9X?
Thanks!
A handicapped freind of mine, purchased this system so he could fly having only 1 hand. I've set everything up, and I cannot reverse the channels or set trim on the unit. We had to use his old 4 channel basic radio, because, of course, the only 6 channel he has is the one listed that does not work. (It infact, does not work, at all!)
Long story short, we need a radio that will allow the trim and channel reversing to be transferred through the coach port to the unit, so we can actually fly with it.
Willl either the 8FGA Super 2.4GHz or the Futaba 8JA 8Ch 2.4GHz Give us the ability to trim and channel reverse the Saito Joystick, on the FPV 1.5 Module?

Hello,
Is it possible to connect another Joystick via USB and then to the a radio transmitter?
Is it possible to only purchase the converter from usb to the trainer transmitter interface?
thanks!
I own one of these Saitek joysticks for flight simulation. After a couple of years of disuse I plugged it back into my computer to practice IL-2 Sturmovik, which is also used at the Mall of America in their flight simulators. I was having problems with yaw (twisting the stick.) I took it apart and found that one of the three wires had come loose from the pot. I soldered it on, but after a couple of hours started to have the same problem. Now the other two wires had come unstuck from the solder joints, and two of the throttle wires had broken. The wires they use are exceptionally thin, about 30 gauge. My recommendation if you are going to use this for FPV is to remove the bottom cover and put a -small- dab of hot glue on each of the wires to the yaw pot (the one directly in the center.) Either that or rewire it with more sturdy wire first. I'm surprised at the flimsy wiring used in these joysticks.
Also note that when the two wires came unstuck from the yaw pot, the roll axis froze (electronically, not physically.) If I had been flying a model plane, it would have crashed. My Saitek joystick is the same one this is modified from, the Cyborg X.
Guys it wil NOT work with any computer, it is not a standard joystick, it must be connected only to the 1.5 Fpv box not to a computer. The 1,5 fpv box use the joystick as input and ypur rc radio as output to the rasdio receiver.
It should but a radio with an high configurable trainer menu is suggested, for example recent Futaba. Consider that you cannot trim the channels with the 1.5 Fpv box so you must trim directly the servos on your plane.
Maximilian, I was not trying to say that this is for flight sim use on a computer, but that it uses a Saitek joystick that has been modified for FPV use. My criticism still stands however**if you buy one, take it apart and check if it also has super thin, flimsy wiring to the potentiometers. If so, either replace it with heavier braided wire, or at least put a dab of hot glue on all the solder tabs to keep the wires attached to the pots. Mine broke while using a sim, but if the wires break or come unstuck while flying a plane, it will crash.
Is it only working with Futaba transmitters or has anyone tried a different brand transmitter?
I want to control traxxas cars with wheel version but traxxas doesn't have transmitters with trainer-port...

I have one of this Josticks, have testet it with my FC-28 and FX-30 from Futabe. The 1500Gyro was ordered by AOE. You need to connect it to the Trainer-port from your Transmitter. By the red Plug its the Best to connect a 2S Lipo. Before using this System, its necessairy to trim a little bit. The joystick with all buttons works great and very precise. For FPV its much better to control your Plane.
By the Gyro i miss a little bit a button for make a reset to the zero-point.
First time the blue controller-box is not so easy to setup.
the axis: AX,AY are ONLY for the gyro. then its necessairy to set the channels for the incoming signals. the output you must set too. its possible too to make 2 setups. you can change the mode with a button from the controller. with a little 1000mah 2s you can fly a full day.
all in one, for this price a very good complete system.

I have this exact same joystick, but without the FPV adaptation. In many ways it's a great joystick, but it has a problem. The legs are not arranged in a stable triangle. The front legs are lateral. If you push the joystick forward enough, it can tip forward on the two front legs.
This is a minor irritation with a flight simulator, but it could result in a crash if you're flying a real plane with it. The solution is to anchor the rear leg somehow. It shouldn't be too difficult, but because the throttle is at the bottom of the rear leg, you can't just weigh it down. You'll need to glue, Velcro, or screw it to a solid surface.
One minor irritation is that the top of the stick is fairly flexible, and some of the top switches aren't very precise.
On the plus side, I really like the way the stick centers. I wish my RC transmitters centered like this stick does. Very smooth. It also has a lot of switches, and a thumb trim.

I have this system but without the X-Gyro 1500 Head Tracking Gyro. I can not find a way to trim the channels on the FPV 1.5 System Interface. I don't want to change my plane or my RCTx. With the other system BT-1 it is possible to do that using the buttons on the joystick, but I could not find anything for this one.
Any help please?
This FPV Flight Simulator Joystick -FPV 1.5 Interface -X-Gyro 1500 not worth to buy. I had bought this accessary. When I power it, the LCD not response. After spend few hour to check, due to inside of Blue box the Crystal dry solder. After repair, can function, and found another problem. It don't have sub-trim, when the AILE / ELEV / RUDD out of center, you can trim. I had add the preset to do some trim. Finally do a lot of modification, can use already. Whose are going to buy, please consider twice.
