is this also compatible with Futaba 6J S-FHSS?

No it is not.

Question: Is this receiver is compatible with Futaba 4PL? Answer: NO. It is not compatible with Futaba 4PL. This receiver is compatible with 4PKS-R, 3PM-X,3GR-FS (using 2.4GHz FASST)

Can this receiver work with GT3C?
 craigwmiller 13 points
No, this receiver is only for Futaba FASST-compatible transmitters.
rudy  5 points - 4/13/2013

can this receiver work with futaba 3PM.thanks.
 craigwmiller 13 points
yes, it should. the two different versions of this radio come with FASST receivers, so this FrSky FASST-compatible system should be okay. Futaba 3PM comes with R603FS and Futaba 3PM-X comes with R603FF ** again, both are FASST receivers.

Can this receiver work with 4pks?

Is it possible for use in an car, to cut one of the antenna's? Or is the range then very less? Thanks!
 JohnnyCrash 7 points
Would also like to know if it is possible to chop off one antenna cord for car use, annoying to have two antennas if it is unnecessary.

Personaly I decited to don't do it. I have an 1:8 Scale Monster Truck, so I have the place for 2 antenna's, and I wouldn't walk the risk of ruin my receiver. But if you have an 1:10 scale sedan or smaller, I can understand it is anoying. But I wouldn't walk the risk, so i didn't do it.
 David 8 points
The receiver's range works fine if you use 1 antenna normally and glue the second to the body. You don't have to have both antenna's up to achieve max range of the unit. It is not recommended to cut one of the antenna's.

I have recently purchased FRSKY TFR6 for my Futaba FASST MEGA TECH 3PM 2.4G –* T3PM transmitter (3 Channel pistol grip).I tried so many times to bind each other, but not succeeded as yet. the manual say set your transmitter to C1 mode. can any one guide me how can i set my transmitter into C1 mode.my email address is mashkoor*orient-power****
 weezbad 215 points
Turn on the transmitter, connect the battery to the receiver while pressing receiver’*s F/S button. After the RED LED is off and GREEN LED is solid, the binding process is completed and the receiver is operating normally. I got mine bound but it took a few tries.. i did not use the instructions. just did it til it worked

This is only a 4ch Rx, but why it is more expensive then TFR6 7ch? Is there anything special on this Rx?
 MartinUL 13 points
Even though there are only 4 connectors, it receives 8 channels and it can be configured to send all 8 channels through one connector, with another connector being used for RSSI -the signal strength. This configuration is particularily useful when you use stabilization/multicopters.

That's something new to me. If you can link me to more depth explanation on how to do it, it would be great.
 MartinUL 13 points
Have a look at the manuals available under the Files tab. As there is just one connector, you have to have a board that will accept that. It is called CPPM or PPM SUM. Check this pdf: t413****/news/best-rx-for-quadcopters

Thank you very much
 PeteDee 189 points
I have ordered one to try wht the CPPM on the KK2 board.
 MartinUL 13 points
That KK2 board is soooo good! I wired mine conventionally, so let us know how you get on with CPPM wiring please, PeteDee.
 PeteDee 189 points
Hey Martin, just got the Rx yesterday but not had a chance to wire it into one of my quads, maybe this afternoon.

Hi, I'm thinking of using this in a 2.4GHz to UHF relay. Apparently, few of the UHF TX modules are sensitive to the PPM frame rate, and do not function properly when frame rate varies (e.g. due to stick movement in Futaba 8FG) Does anyone know if the PPM out frame rate is fixed in this receiver?
bcpzx3  8 points - 2/14/2013

as long as your module supports FASST
Bernardo  5 points - 2/14/2013

Anyone know if this receiver will work with a 3pk that has 2.4g module installed? And are there any settings that have to be changed in the radio itself. Thanks.
 bcpzx3 8 points
as long as your module supports FASST
 David 8 points
It will work with your 3pk in C1 mode.

Is it connectable with FrSky DJT module?

I am running one of these Rx with a Futaba 4PKS. Ch 1,2 and 3 work fine, but I cannot get anything to operate on Ch 4? I have tested another of the same Rx with the same result, nothing. Swap out for Futaba Rx and works fine. Any suggestions?
 Simo73 25 points
Disregard. When operating in C1 mode, can only utilise 3 channels.
 GunYoung 26 points
So.. is this 3ch receiver?
 Simo73 25 points
If used with 4PKS or 4PKS-R, Rx has to be in C1 RF mode, so yes, only 3 channel with those Tx.
Andrey  2 points - 1/28/2013

Will it work with Futaba 3pks in HRS or PCM or PPM? What mode should be used?

Thanks..
 GunYoung 26 points
It works on C1 mode.
But 4Ch doesn't work. !!

Yes it will work with the 4pk, but in C1 mode, which limits you to 3 channels.

Is this work with Futaba 4PL ???
 MartinVenter 83 points
No, it will NOT work, the 4PL is a FHSS radio and the TRF4 is a FASST receiver.

Thanks Martin,
Is here any receiver that can work with 4PL?
 chad 27 points
Not from frsky, they only make fasst compatible systems as well as other brand spread srectrum rx's and modules. I dont know of any other brands that will work with futaba's FHSS spectrum rx's.
