Would this be a kit for diving back into the flying of RC using and older servo kit to outfit the plane, or do I need to make the plunge and start over with the newest gear, that is less then three years old?
 Gary 3059 points
Everything for this model is really small,it use a micro Rx and servo's so most probably your older gear will be to big and heavy.Other than that find a larger model that will accept your older gear.

The Recommended Prop size above is WRONG According to instruction the recommended prop is "4025" which I find to be still too long as the tail boom is in the way .. Searching for 35xx now to order :o( as I had bought the kit version ...
Cornell_Are_I  10 points - 12/7/2011

Do you sell the undercarriage as a single item to go on the balsa kit?
 Kellyann 16240 points
Cornell sorry but not as a item just for this plane. It is not a spare. Happy New Year. PS: Many have asked this question.
Allison  1368 points - 11/19/2011

I am sure I show this as a kit some where for half the price. Is that still available?
 Kellyann 16240 points
Allison yes it is still available. PRODUCT ID: CUCKOOKIT This is a bare bones kit. Just wood parts only. No hardware, no wheels and no covering. I hope this helps

where can i get that white motor mount??
 joumana 23 points
Hi,you can use instead a horn for the servo It will be enough Cheers:)
 cr8tive_leo 178 points
He is correct, a servo horn from a regular servo will fit the motor. You can epoxy the the control horn onto the stick and voila, cheap motor mount.
 Kellyann 16240 points
Susan the guys here have some good ideas. May I ask why do you not have one. If you broke it Hobby King sell PRODUCT ID: 130CMount This is not totally the same but will do with a small stick. I hope I have helped.

The requires section says it needs 3- 2.5gr servos and yet what's for sale in the combo section is 4.3 and 4.4gr servos. Which should I use?
 FPVking 374 points
Definately the lighter the better this thing flyes. You can consider even the superlight 1.5gr servos. I have been seen them on ebay.
 scruffy1 39 points
It seems that the company producing these kits are out of servos. If you note that the mini-stick which uses the identical flying surfaces has been short-changing their kits one servo (look down the reviews on that page), and now they are selling essentially the same product and "bring your own" but there are none of just the right size on this site. It's a shame because they make fine kits but they can't be completed simply due to lack of suitable servos. The motor /esc bit works great ! Get it together HobbyKing - it's a sweet little airframe !! You are compromising potential sales.

can i use a 1000mah 2s cell?
 FPVking 374 points
Yes certainly. Just a little added weight ( 10gr) equals little bit lazyer response from the plane. But get 20% more flight time. If You allready have the 1000mAh then use it, this no brainer. Can also use 2s 500mAh for sporty loops and i think even 2s 1200mAh for real lazy and long flight.
snappy  2300 points - 9/9/2011

Hit the "small items" bottom and there is a kit version for 16 dollars
 FPVking 374 points
Also can find when searching HK for "Cuckoo".
snappy  2300 points - 9/9/2011

Colour with a "u". You made my day
 Wazza_99 867 points
They try at least! LMAO
 tinman 156 points
Thats it Mr C......Aeaaaaaayyyyyy !
 jeff125 40 points
So...can this be flown inside a gym? How slow can it fly?
 Cornell_Are_I 10 points
Colour is spelt with a "U" unless you're a yank

It is so cute... In my cart...
 tov.Lenin 25 points
WOU! Nice small plane. Very interesting is covered with foil. Tell us how they achieved this.
 Ujjwaana 167 points
Ha ha!! Not a good color for orientation! And get a good copy for the shoot - the left wingtip has the covering peeling off! Wonder what would happen in the flight!!! Get some serious 'KIT' HK!! Not the Toy ones!
 PierHenri62 87 points
TO UJJ..etc: Be derious yourself! It is not peeling, but a light effect. Have you ever seen a covering film? HA,HA,HA!!!
 tov.Lenin 25 points
TO UJJ..etc:
A good pilot is no difference, as the painted aircraft.
 Larry L 125 points
The Wing and Tail Feathers are the same as Mini Stick, they just Fabbed up a Profile Fusilage ! Should Fly good, the Stick does.
 kyrre 312 points
Thats what I noticed as well, Larry. The kit version also has a cut-out in the fuse for a 30mm edf, could be a fun build.
 Larry L 125 points
That would be Fun Kyrre ! should Fly great no Prop torque and cool sound.
 texflyer 129 points
whats the smallest receiver that HK sells that is compatible with the Turnigy 9x transmitter?
 Larry L 125 points
If your using the original Module youd be better off getting the Supermicro JR Module $22.00 then your choices are almost endless, hope this helps !
 texflyer 129 points
Larry, is that JR module compatible with the receivers in the ParkZones BNF Ultra Micro Series planes e.g. Polecat, Sukhoi, vapor?
 Larry L 125 points
Sorry Texflyer Im not sure,I have the Sukhoi its DMS2 $pektrum !Im waiting for Hobby King to bring us DMS2 compatible Supermicro stuff like there 415 Rx !

This is a very nice light small aircraft to fly on field or park. The engine has a delay when you put in full throttle, but if you leave the engine with low rpm in idle, the problem is solved. This aircraft need to be carried with a Ca glue and acelerator because the structure is weak.
