Why can't they made it from EPO??
 Mark 601 points
EPO is too heavy for this small a plane with this size power plant.

I fly mode 1 and the aileron control is on the throttle stick and the rudder control is on the elevator stick, Did they make the yak 54 like this on purpose? so hard to fly like this, if it is a fault, I can't send it back because I already damaged it, do you know how I can change it? is it ment to be like this?
 kobi 24 points
tim you need to the the position of the antenna to mode 2 by removing the screw that secures the antenna that should fix your problem

HK please fix your shipping options. Why on earth show us a whole heap of shipping options, but when I go to check out and Pay there's only china EMS. Where all the others shipping option gone.
 Norbit84 135 points
When that happens to me what I do add some small very cheap item like heat shrink to my cart. then, once in checkout the other shipping options should be available.

Mine has just arrived and after few crashes the receiver unit stop working, usually there will be a red light when I connected the batt, but this time the light never come up. I wonder if there's a replacement for the board?
 Paul-SA 9 points
I'm sure you'll be able to get a replacement board, but normally the board costs almost as much as the whole plane. It's better just to get a new plane and keep the old one for spares.
r1-chris  5 points - 8/9/2012

After a few flights this thing suddenly lost its range if flying further away than 15 to 20 meters. I purchased the receiver set and after installation and binding the rudder is now on the right stick and aileron on the left stick! Range is ok, now, though it´*s useless nevertheless...NE and this plane especially sucksss!
 Jeffery 4 points
I know this is old but did you swap the ant. over from mode 1 to mode 2. That is the problem I think you are describing..
GotLoveForAll  19 points - 6/14/2012

Mine arrived with the Motor 10 degrees off center, so the propeller does no sit straight. I removed the canopy to fix it and found that the glue they used is of a spongy nature, not quite hot gun stick glue, more like silicone. What can I use as a replacement glue after aligning the motor? Sorry, this is my first foam RC item and I don't know. *blush*

you should have a bit of right thrust and down thrust,,,your wrecking not fixing.

why it`s unable to ship it to to Latvia? *)
 keyrul_MAS 131 points
u can try other doors...:}
 CrashAce 797 points
It is because of the frequency used in the transmitter. It's not allowed in you country.
 Ann-Kristin 2 points
but its unable to ship it to Norway to, but in the local rc-shop you can buy it :)
 CrashAce 797 points
It really just come down to paperwork. In the U.S. anything with a transmitter has to be FCC approved. In Europe it must be EC (I believe)approved. If the appropriate paperwork is not provided with the shipment it may not clear customs.
bob  1 points - 3/16/2012

wid the bnf version can u use another transmiter than the one on the pic above?
 fearlessfoamie 26 points
you better off just geting this one (rtf) cause then the transmitter that comes withit is commpatible with most of nine eagles aircraft
 Colby 48 points
You may be able to but you might want to go with th rtf
 Kellyann 16223 points
Bob you need a Compatible Nine Eagles Transmitter (such as Nine Eagles J6 PRO - see related items). I will not bind with most other SYSTEM. Sorry.

Is this plane built strong? Does the prop pop off if you crash it (like the other 9 eagles planes)? How long does its battery last?
 shiham 60 points
hi jordan , please dont go for that model , my cousin has one of these which was purchased locally , the main thing to consider is the battery life , you can get even 3 mins of flying time with this cheap battery , its a **** dont go for it . sorry HK
 Colby 48 points
I got the rtf version I loved it except most of the time trying to land the prop always comes off it comes off very easily. Not good at all for beginners pretty hard to fly. If you are trying to get the most flight time maybe around 6-7 minutes.pretty good at some aerobatics.
Arcodavella  5 points - 1/10/2012

Hi Guys, Im own one of these and im really dissapointment with battery life. I got two of them and average fly is around 2 min. Then there is no enough power to climb. Battery is around 4V (3.96) then. Is that normal??? or there is something wrong with mu model??? Please advise. Damian
 VirtualCowboy 20 points
I have ordered one of these, but haven't received it yet. Some ESCs have a hig/med./low voltage cutoff setting. Maybe yours is set on high voltage cutoff, if it has that option.
 Brenton 1 points
if you order them form the page you bought the plane from near the bottom you can get them for 0.96 i bought 6 and all up good flight time
 Arcodavella 5 points
Plane was faulty... I got replacement and its ok.... THX D.
 Kellyann 16223 points
Arcodavella it is so good this ends happy. I like good ending. I am sorry it did not work at first but now it does. Wheels Up
 shiham 60 points
yes Damian even my cousin has the same plane which was purchased from a local store , its flying time is just about 3 mins , you can get a 240mah replacement not more than that , and then you can fly 5 mins max
 Colby 48 points
My Yak has long flight time 7-8 minutes
V  29 points - 12/5/2011

Hi is this plane good for beginners? I'm pretty new to the hobby and flown a couple planes but crashed and looking for somethIng new.
 Maumy 516 points
No, try the something bigger like a bixler or the AXN floater. That be more stable.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Colby 48 points
Not at all go for something like a hobbyzone super cub or something. I like thet airplane because it glides so well
 anthonyk 1 points
Hey, i was once in your position too. Aerobtic planes seems small and light which most probably tricked you into thinking it is a great crash resistant plane for beginners. This plane flies as fast as it looks and is designed for more complex manovers. I would suggest a trainer or a glider sort of plane. These planes are slower and easier to control during flight. They should also withstand tougher landings. I would suggest the bixler as the propeller will no brek on contact because it is not in
cale  52 points - 11/30/2011

will this hover?
 Roy_T 134 points
That'll depends on the skill of the pilot. Usually it is a lot harder for such small planes due to the the lack of inertia of the plane. A plane with wingspan of 800mm or more will be easier.
 Colby 48 points
It kinda will when climbing it goes very slow almost a hover but will be easier to hover with a bigger airplane
 Mark 601 points
if you consider a climbing stall hovering then yes. If you want to hold it verticle and hang in the air then no.

hey i wanna to know what battery i need for this product and what mode is the radio? i need mode 2

 ofir060 6 points
I dont see where i need to put the 130 MAH battery in the nine eagles
 rchopper 78 points
on the bottom of the fuse there is space to slide the battery in. on youtube this video will explane all, http://youtu.be/BGOojW1eq0E
 Colby 48 points
this battery is from hobbyking and works fine on the yak 54 Turnigy nano-tech 160mah 1S 25C Lipo Pack (Nine Eagles style - T1 Single Rail for 2010 )the transmitter is mode two and mode one
cale  52 points - 10/23/2011

I don't quite get why they can't ship to Switzerland :(
 KaosKane 1428 points
the people who own the brand dont want HK dropping the 300% to 500% profit margins of the old shops down to HK's 1-10%. So HK is prohibited from selling in their territories it is called territory licencing and is illegal in the countries not listed eg Australia it is also bad for the brand and the old shops because people will know the old hobby shop is making the excess margin on evrything not just the products HK show to be overpriced and it is bad for the brand because others will want to make a near copy very cheap and sell into protected market 20% cheaper making 500-600% (because its bad quality) then taking the trade from protected brand. no licenced territories is the way to go quality brands carry 33% markup cheap ones 3-5% better for us larger total sales for brands
 Doublsixes 15843 points
Say what buddy?
 KaosKane 1428 points
sry here is short version...... shops in the countries listed have got together to stop manufactures selling to hobby king. because hobby king reduces profit margind to a fair level and the shops want unfair profits.....ps it is sad u have the time to click urself 15,764 times lol
 Doublsixes 15843 points
It wasn't me doing the clicking,..... Anyway, can this thing 3D at all or is it like the joke H9 offers? TX for the answer
 KaosKane 1428 points
some 1 else kliked u 15k times?..ok!..*}
.............ppl who have flown this speak highly of the plane........
for me the nut on the stick is the problem lol
 Mark 601 points
it's not a 3d plane. It's an aerobatic 4 channel plane, but you can't hold it in a hover. Personally I think that's cheating when a plane has no danger of stalling out, but everyone has a different preference.
Francois  16 points - 9/29/2011

Can't ship to Vatican City ! Too hard for the Pope Benedict XVI :) How will he do ?
 maukabud 408 points
He doesn't fly...he floats. :D
 Roy_T 134 points
He does not Play but Prays? :p
 rocketscience 319 points
he doesn't need a remote, cuz he can emote
 maukabud 408 points
lol! If he flew, it wouldn't be fair...coz any move he botches would be saved by divine intervention! :D

Would this be a good plane for someone wanting to move up out of trainers?

Why so heavy?? The larger NE extra300 has less weight, why?
 klauziii 24 points
38grams Flying wight are heavy?? The 1606grams is only the total shipping weight!
 villas 76 points
I'm talking about the parcel weight. Sending large boxes over 1.5kg to Brazil is expensive.
 Colby 48 points
mine was really heavy too it doesn't make sense
sampath  1 points - 9/28/2011

how do u charge dat small battery...?
 Ronald007 406 points
Right off the controller.
 villas 76 points
Or you can buy a charger. In nine eagles heli parts section you will find one.
 Colby 48 points
If you don't have the transmitter you have to buy one. If you do have the transmitter it's on the back I prefer buying the charger anyway cause charging from the transmitter drains the AA batteries
sl0flyer  49 points - 9/28/2011

Looks identical to the Parkzone Sukhoi.. which in my opinion is not that great of a flyer
 Ronald007 406 points
Except this is a lot smaller and runs on a propriatory radio. The PZ will allow you to use any radio you like.
 kometen 9 points
Actually the parkzone models are restricted to $pektrum or JR DSM radios, which are very expensive. Alternatively, you can buy the RTF version of the parkzone ultra-micro and get a cheap radio that is about par with this one for quality.
 Skeetch 66 points
It is a pity that in Russia is not included, sorry: (
 Amoor 3 points
Hi, so I can bind this model with spectrum jr ?
 MegaTesla 576 points
No you can't.
Shift86  166 points - 9/28/2011

But russia is not europe and anyways copyright laws dont work in russia? and furthermore i made a search and was unable to find any authorised reseller of nine eagles, let alone this specific model. So i cant buy it in russia, i cant order it from hobbyking, is there some kind of international sanctions that prohibit shipment of nine eagles YAK's to russia? After all, its us who made this plane in the first place!!
valentin  2 points - 9/28/2011

why can not you send it in France
 Camboui 133 points
On l'a dé*jà* dit, les distributeurs europé*ens se seraient plaints auprè*s de Nine Eagles qui aurait exigé* des revendeurs asiatiques de ne plus vendre en Europe.

First time i see this on hobbyking website..
 CrashinDutchman 281 points
They forgot Belgium!
 rcmodels 35 points
Why prohibited shipping to ukraine? It just a plane!
 Tommee 32 points
Pepople use your brains. Its prohibited because of radio not being compliant for those countries. And for love of god Hobby King, there is no Yugoslavia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! War ended 15 years ago!! Your knowledge is terrible...
 T.rex.450 175 points
I guess that all these countries have importers with an agreement that no one else is allowed to sell the items.
 Sokonomi 308 points
Hobbyking needs to figure a way around this. Too many cool products getting ballbusted by european asshole importers forcing us to pay out the nose (this plane costs DOUBLE here!)
 Tommee 32 points
This has nothing to do with them, It is because 2.4 radio from this package has not passed necessary tests in order to be legally imported to those countries.
 Sokonomi 308 points
Still, they should find a way around it. Bribe a checking agent for all I care. If those hobnobs on ebay can get away with this, so should hobbyking. Just sayin. *)
 Sokonomi 308 points
Additionally, did you notice the bind and fly version which has no transmitter at all, is also prohibited in all these countries? Smells like something entirely different don't it?
 simon.castle 510 points
From where do you get the information that the TX has not passed its emissions tests. There are many shop here in Germany selling the same thing for around 80 Euro. Can only be a distribution agreement/licensing issue
 HobbyKing_Admin 8862 points
This is CE, FCC and C-TICK approved and tested.
We cannot sell to some countries due to distribution agreements.
 Sokonomi 308 points
No trickery in your bag of magic to get around it, Anthony? Seeing these pretties pop up and then being told "no soup for you" is ***ming me out. *)
 Tommee 32 points
Anthony, that has nothing to do with EC, is it legaly approwed for europe, does it have EC Declaration of Conformity? Non of your radio products that I have ordered had that.
 herofromzero 110 points
Some times i feel lucy for Turkey not in EU . İ* ordered it :)
 Camboui 133 points
Guys, you all missed the Solo Pro 328 story. HK can't resell Nine Eagles products to Europe if he still wants to resell elsewhere in the world. Looks like local distributors complained... I just hope we will be able to purchase the spare parts from HK :-)
 Sokonomi 308 points
I'm either buying hobbyking or nothing at all. I would buy this for 60 bucks, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy it at the local price of 120 bucks. Local distributors can kiss em! Everyone who seriously thinks of buying local should be alerted about this disgusting artificial market inflating. Boycot the bastards and let em boil in their own juices!
 villas 76 points
Why so heavy?? The larger NE extra300 has less weight, why?

A few things befor flying! I moved all the controls to its MAXimum movement and also the wheels need to be taken off and sand the paint off the lading gear so the wheels will spin with more ease. The CG is spot on with the battery installed. I have good experience with flying micros but this plane will take afew flights of flying crash laning it and triming it and crash landing it again till you will get a good flight out of it.
