Turnigy 1/10 Brushless 2WD Desert Racing Buggy ARR
Equipped with a 60A brushless system, oil filled shocks, and fully adjustable suspension, this 1/10 2WD Desert Buggy is ready to tear up your local track!
The Turnigy 2WD Desert Racing Buggy performs just as good as it looks. Its 3300KV brushless motor provides plenty of torque, and an impressive top speed. On a 2S Lipoly, it will pull the front wheels off the ground easily when running on pavement, but this machine really shows its capabilites off road, tearing through the corners and soaring over jumps.
The Turnigy Desert Buggy comes almost ready to run, just add a 2S Lipoly batttery, 2CH radio system, and you are set to go!
*This buggy features a full metal gear transmission and adjustable slipper clutch
Does anyone know what steering servo is used in this? mine broke a while ago and in the process of trying to fix it and moving I have lost it and need to order another one but im unsure which one exactly. any help appreciated
The included servo is really cheap, go for something around 10kg of torque. I went for the bluebird that some people seem to have had good experience with. Look under standard size servos and that fit your budget.
My ESC started stuttering on its first run, then when I was testing it later with the battery plugged in it went bang. Contacted Hobbyking who offered to replace or give me a credit note. I chose the credit note and fitted the 'Turnigy TrackStar 1/10th Scale 60A Car ESC Version 2'.
So far so good.
Help! Buggy ran well for a number of runs then one day just started stuttering, esp at initial throttle. Motor and wheels would spin if you lift up the back, but the moment you put it down, it stutters. I thot it was the gears and slipper clutch, changed them all, and still the same. Now, the wheels spin much slower when I lift up the back. Since it's not the gears it's either the ESC, motor or RX. Anyone has had this same problem and solved it? What would be a good HK ESC for this buggy if I have to change it? The spare parts listing don't include the stock ESC and motor. Tks.
I would say the ESC is shot.
The X-Car 80a esc would be a good choice i believe, it can also run sensored motors if you choose to upgrade later.

2 thumbs up!
Learn from my mistake! Open the gear box and make sure the spur and pinion gears are meshed properly! Mine were not, and the spur gears teeth were all stripped off within 5 mins of driving. Luckily i found an Ultima DB Spur gear at a local hobby shop that got me back up and running.
This car is amazing for the price, it is very quick and maneuverable. The shocks' rebound seems to slow, but I'm sure that can be adjusted. Overall, I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
Realy impressed of the size. Is it realy a 1/10 size???? plusGood plastic and great tires. plus My slipper clutch was fine adjusted. plusthe gears was good assembeld. plusTurnigy nano-tech 5800mah 2s 30-60c fitted perfect. plus runs on rear weels without a problem.
- to hard soch oil. - on my first run the screws that holds the steering linkage un screwed them self so i crashed in a wall and brake the front lower arm.

Great car for the money! Plenty of speed and power out of the brushless system running on 2S.
A few minor issues :- The screws that hold my steering link on where meant to be in the servo saver pillars and vice versa. I found out this after one fell off.
Also the spacers on the hinge pins where reversed. I discovered these minor errors buy following the Kyosho DB manual.
I swapped the stock shock oil for 30wt and checked the slipper and gave the car a once over before running.
All in all a great car, fun to drive and looks great!! Very Happy! Thanks HobbyKing
