purchased this from HK advice for my quanum V2 set up. lens cap is off :-) and all leads are correctly used. I ommited the video switch that came with the V2 for the front camera for simplicity sake. Am running of a 2s for screen and receiver. its receiving from a fatshark 250mw vtx that came with venture deluxe. It gets PIPING hot when testing so dont trouble shoot for long. But I get NO signal on every channel. Not getting much help from HK trouble shooting NOR from fatshark for trouble shooting. do any of you have the same set up or advice? would love some. Have also tried Pal/ntsc jumper, changing channel on the fatshark just to get something. vrx and screen powered by 2s lipo, video out (tried both) from vrx to screen, not running the sound, just video.

some of the "bars" on the LED displaying on the receiver (channels 1-8) intermittently just go out. Thats troubling as well.

Mine didn't come with the 5.8Ghz Antenna!! Very disappointed in HobbyKing as this is the second time in a month that I'm going to have to return it and wait for a replacement.. HobbyKing won't even pay for the return shipping!! Extremely annoyed right now

Can I use a 3s 11.1 battery for power RC805 ?

You better use 2S on 3S receiver becomes too hot. I use 2S , receive signal from range 1000m without problems

Really nice reciever. works well. Similar to RC305 except easier to change channels. The AV out's are not 3.5mm stereo jacks like the RC305, instead these are 2.5mm. the power and AV jacks are on the same side as the antenna which iv seen can cause problems for some.

Got it as a freebie. Me likey. Now I have to buy a badass 200mW transmitter and go FPV. Sure a CP home made antennas is a must for good signal but I think original antennas should give a good starting point around 300meters for practicing.
Quite light 44 gram.
