Mine doesn't work with a 6s battery, properly configured for 6s. Whereas if I configure it for a 3S battery and connect it to a 3S battery, it works fine. Does anybody use it with a 6S battery??

mine worked with a 6s just fine. Funny thing was when I was programming this ESC I was using a smaller mah 5s and after all programming was done I tried to thotle up and it did for 1 sec then quit. only worked with 6s battery after I programmed it for that many cells. hope this helped.

im new to this r/c stuff & still learning, but will this ESC work for my 1:8 electric truck? its a avalanche xte from redcat.
 drats 3 points
should work fine if you have enough air flow over it. and for the price I bought a second 1 to put in a twin 70mm edf. Should be fine in a truck with plenty of air flow and high enough mah lipo to support it and matched kv motor.

What is the black wheel that has the receiver cord wrapped around it and what is it for?
 Kellyann 16706 points
Bacter it is a ferrite choke that is used to suppress noise coming from the ESC. Electric noise can cause the receiver to play up. You can get servo jump. I hope this helps

Rite_Flight the 1.1 to 1.8 are delay times. I do think they are in seconds. I hope this helps.

1.1 and 1.8 means min and max duration of the control timing from the receiver. It represent the duration fo the signal and depends on the position of your stick. They are expressed in milli second.
have fun.

Really good esc but 4 stars because when i slowly increase thortle it does not move motor at all even when it is at full throtle in my transmitter. IT also cuts out when i set it to one quarter throtle. But all of that might be my transmitters fault. It also stops the motor really fast after going from full to no throtle in an instant.

great esc. easy to program with the stick. I wish I would have bought a smaller 1. It will fry a 70mm edf real quick. So ordering a smaller 1 for my edf. Guess I'll have to get a 90mm edf just so I can use this 1.All and all great esc for the price.would recommend this.

My Birdie 90A doesn't work with a 6S battery. The Hobbyking Quality Control is very deficient. I have paid for a Speed Controller that doesn't work.If I want to return it to China to the warranty service, the shipping costs are higher than the cost of the article, so I will have to "eat" my Birdie and spend my money in another one.
