More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly. Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries; -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
prejudice is the first time that I compare myself with threads like this but if I can I buy batteries only from HOBBY KING both for quality and for the price, and I state that I buy for many years and it ever happened to me for a battery to go broke if you respect their characteristics. So who thinks he is higher with his plane more than it should do so as well, but then do not complain of battery life thanks
When I use the battery finder on this site, I find many 3s nano-tech batteries batteries come in two flavors I'll call low discharge and high discharge. Looking at the 850, 1300, and 1500mah batteries I see a weight difference ranging from 0 to 5g between the low discharge and high discharge versions. Why then does this high discharge version of the 1000mah battery weight 17g more than the low discharge version? Something doesn't make sense.
coz high-discharge version having more surface of anode and kathode to touch themselves. Unfotunately, its just impossible to make more surface with simple decreasing thickness by increasing square of touching electrodes inside battery. It's details of technical process, but just believe - its normal.
I understand that high discharge will come at the cost of some weight, but the extra weight for the high discharge 1000maH battery just looks out of place. For instance if you look at the difference between the low discharge and high discharge 850maH battery it is < 5g. Similarly if you look at the difference of the low and high discharge 1300maH battery the difference is < 5g. Just seems strange that the difference in weight between the low and high discharge versions of this battery is 17g.
I repeat my warning: If you charge this LiPo at 5C or 10C you will shorten its useful life considerably* i.e. you will not get as many charge cycles out of the Lipo as if you had charged at 1C or less. If you are happy at shortening its life, then charge at 10C!
Without cooling mine came down about as hot as I'd want them. This was in a plane where I flew 30A from takeoff to landing 3min later. I'd call that trustworthy from what I've seen.
Sally that would make it simpler. But it would not just stop there. You will always have cheaper batteries on the market. It is not just the c rate that makes a battery last or not. Some thing a Lipos shelf life has a lot to do with it. In fact a 2 year old year battery (2 yob since manufacture) but has never been used will only last a third of its recharge cycles and a newly manufacture. It would if they were stamped with a date. Then there is price. Everyone is looking for a bargain.
More capacity and more C rating is usually better, but not always needed. I fly some slow-fly models and glow models that use lipo packs as receiver packs. These packs do not need large capacity or high C rating to work well, so I buy cheap 15 to 25C Flightmax batteries. High performance models are different, and I buy 30C or higher packs for them. Hope that helps.
yeah but aus warehouse budget shipping gets to me in 3-4 days and is LiPo friendly, From Int warehouse the nano's ship via Geneva Switzerland when you select Budget International Registered post and takes around a month to get to me. If you want them quicker EMS (lipo friendly) is so darn expensive $26 per 500g to australia!! nearly doubles the price for 3 of these. Exen if they were 60%more expensive in the Aus warehouse the shipping is only $9 for up to 2kg.
Is the weight correct? It seems a lot heavier than the 25-50C for pretty much the same dimensions.
I'm unsure whether to go for this for the HK-250GT or wait for the 850 to come back in stock.
Weight is 95g in my scale.. consider that this is theorically capable of twice the discharge of the 25-50C .. If you use this in a glider for example to minimize weight and the glider motor for climbing draws 35A you better have this to be suere than the 25C
Good quality nano for a good price. Its lite and fits a foamie nicely. Fly 3D for 12 mins. Not sure after 100 flights tho, time will tell. I trust its worth the $ and reliable.

Kyllä lähtee tällä akulla. yli 20A virroilla lennettynä akku ei lämpene juurikaan yhtään. Aiemmilla akuilla vastaavalla lennolla samankokoinen akku kuumeni todella paljon.
