More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance.

* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.

-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

What is a safe charge rate for these? well over an hour charging at .8 and was wondering if i can safely charge them at a faster rate.

Charge rate is actually 10C. So that's 8A easily. But I don't think it is safe to charge at that rate the first time without trying the lower charge rate first. Just slowly inch your way forward every charge cycle. We all know manufacturers tend to exaggerate the specs from time to time.

Hello andrew, Now I just bought nano tech packs!! sure It' s written charge rate 10C !! but I prefer charging slowly to keep the pack .... If you can charge at 1/10 of 850 mAh , it takes time but safe

I bought 2 of these and when they arrived i tested them and im 90% sure they were fine, i took them to the hobby store to get the plug soldered on and now im home 1 batt has dropped 2 cells, can the shop have done something or would of it been from the factory?

If they pulled to hard on the wire when they were soldering they could have detached two of the cells from the rest or even dropped it. For the price I would just buy another and teach yourself to solder. It's cheap and easy and very satisfying. Cheers... sorry about your battery.

they could have damaged the balancing leads But it is unlikely they damaged the interconnecting "series" circuit. I would hope a Hobby shop would know how to install a simple two wire connector. But you never know. I have never had a new turnigy battery Loose a cell. Imbalanced a little maybe but not drop a cell. Have you used them, did you over discharge them? Do you have full voltage at the two wire connector? is it just two cells dont show up on balancing?

And perfect for 4S usage on the 50mm EDF range too.
Though it's a bit fat and may not fit on all 50mm EDF models, most should fit or could be adapted to fit with the removal of a little foam.

Amazing batteries. The power you get from these little fellas is overwhelming. I'm using these batteries on my Hyper 10TT formula offroad build. WB around 32,5cm and weight 2100g.

these are the lips for the FUNFIGHTERS LIKE MY T-28....when you upgrade with a30 amps esc....Tremendous power...5 min of TOP SPEED FLIGHT...7min miscellaneous flight. GREAT LIPO !!!
