I'm looking at this motor or similar to put in a 'Mach 1' pattern model of 1.6mt wing span which originally had a .60 engine in it with a 12 x 6 prop. Any suggestions for Esc, motor and battery would be appreciated. I understand that batteries should not be depleted below 20% to maintain a reasonable life - so how long would I expect to get out of a flight with say a 10s 5800mah battery in it?

Hi John, I have the same problem. I did a quik test with a 15.75 4-blade on a 6s. Only pulling about 880 watts. Waiting on more batteries for more testing....

ok, I put a different esc on it and that has helped, now to get the right prop for an 82" warbird.

For what its worth to fellow byers... The stock bolt inlcuded with the 76mm spinners fits the prop adapter shaft included with this motor.

Betreibe den Motor mit einem Turnigy dlux 80A HV Regler an 10s 5000mAh 30C mit einem RFM 16x8 Carbon-Klapppropeller in einer ASH 26 mit 5m Spannweite und 9.6kg Gewicht. Das Modell geht beinahe senkrecht. Der Strom liegt bei 65A und die Leistung bei 2400W! Da die Einschaltdauer nur etwa 15s pro Steigflug ist und nachher abkühlen kann im Gleitflug ist das Setup unkritisch. Nach der Landung hat der Motor ca. 50°C
Bitte keine Aeronaut CAMcarbon Props verweden. Die Drehzahl liegt über 9000U/min das war zuviel für den 16x8 CAMcarbon-Prop. Ein Blatt ist abgerissen und den Motor hats samt Spant aus dem Rumpf herausgerissen. Der Motor hats unbeschadet überstanden was wieder für die Qualität spricht.

Currently running 8s 5000 / Superbrain 100hv /on a APC 19 x 10 prop
Incredible power and run time.
8 min full pattern flying only uses 2750 mah.
Uplines are powerfull if required and down lines are a nice speed.
This is a great prop for this motor. AAA
Well over 60 flights on this set-up with no problems at all.
Hope the new SK 275kv motor is as good or better.
