Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3536-1050kv Brushless Outrunner Motor
Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design.
We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufactures on the market today.
The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time. The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.
Here is a test of a 9x6apc style prop on my funcub not flown it yet i am looking to fpv it but not sure if the power set i am using is any good. using this motor. here is my link to the video using watt meter. Also tested a 11x5.5 this seems way over the top i think can someone help me out on this please.https://youtu.be/VBkuALHduZE and 11x5.5 https://youtu.be/ZJPFoh07EyA
Hello! I also have this motor in my funcub. I have mostly used 12x6 props, 2200 3S, 60A plush ESC. My new favorite prop for this plane is PRODUCT ID: TRSP-12x6 , wood ultra light prop. Due to Frsky telemetry draws over 40 amp. (But a wooden prop breaks easily on hard landings without a strengthened landing gear.) I have been using this prop/motor combo for over 2 years now so I wouldn't worry going over 34A.
Nope. I use the same motor on my funcub and it works great. I'd just apply some blue locktight to the screws in the funcub motor mount and you should be all set.
1 thumbs up!
have one in my MPX acromaster. the first advantage that I noticed was the smooth behavoir of the motor. no more resonance in the body!
the acromaster is known for its resonance, so I allready glassed the interior of the motorspace, made a custom motor support, and with my prevoius *cheap* motor, it still vibrated.
now I can go full power, and the body doesn't even move ! what a difference. measurements with a APC 12 X 6 prop, 3 S 2200mAH LIPO : 360W ; 11V ; 32A

1 thumbs up!
All I can say is WOW! This motor is AMAZING!!! I have it in the Hobby King Domin8trix and it has UNLIMITED vertical ability! Not only that it is super smooth and I get run times of 6mins with 2500 3s packs running at 3/4 to full throttle! I love this motor and all the guys at the field were ogling over the performance! I highly recommend it! Get it while they have them in stock! I just ordered a second one to go in my Hyperion Yak55!
