one of the pictures is a chart. Depending on he size of the prop you will get different flight characteristics. Normally you will want 1:4 weight to thrust ratio...
Be aware the prop saver on this has a very short shaft and also short screws to attach the O ring. It does throw props very easily at full throttle. Have tried smaller O rings and longer screws but still occurs, however not in flight.
I assume you are talking about the two small, black elastic(ish) bands. They are used to secure the prop to the shaft of the motor, as shown here www.link
Hello
thank who help me.
My question is this
how do I know that motor serves to manufacture a plane myself
or reference select, power, voltage?
Thank you ..
the motor and prop combination have to give enough trust for your airplane.
Find a plane here on HK that has about the same shape and weight and see if there are comments about used motor / prop combinations..
at least thats how i do it, and workd for me!
eimix it happen a lot. It has a standard 3mm shaft so you can find heaps under motor parts or you could do what I do and pinch one out of a old computer CDROM (2 x 3mm guides inside). I hope this helps
Hey Mate, I am running the following setup (all hobbyking gear) which is pulling 13amps and producing 150 watts:
ESC: Turnigy Plush 25 Amp rating***Prop: APC 7X5***Turnigy R/C LED Lighting System***Fiber-Optic Lights for night flying X 2***OrangeRx R610 $pektrum DSM2 6Ch 2.4Ghz Receiver***ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 20C.
I posted a new pdf file, this time with "fonts embedded" - this should work for you. Be warned though: I bought two of these and both failed (one within minutes of use) - the windings are shorted against the stator - a bad batch of wire or perhaps the coating on the stator is bad. I wouldn't buy this unless you plan on re-winding it until HK fixes the problem. I have a couple of the HK 2612 motors that stutter on startup, this could be the same issue, just not as severe (yet).
Im using the following setup which is producing 150 Watts * 13amps.

Installed on my TEK SUMO. Perfect match for this plane. Not under powered or over powered.

This setup is producing 150 Watts @ 13amps. Flight times vary between 10 - 22 minutes.
bought this to use it in the tek sumo. 7x5 prop 3s 1300mah battery is a great combo. good vertical speed too. motor only gets a bit warm after flight and battery is not even warm... about 10 mins flight with controlled throttle
