The 3.5 mm plugs.

one of the pictures is a chart. Depending on he size of the prop you will get different flight characteristics. Normally you will want 1:4 weight to thrust ratio...
RoLma  2 points - 11/24/2012

Can I use this with F330 multirotor ? What prop is sugested ?

Be aware the prop saver on this has a very short shaft and also short screws to attach the O ring. It does throw props very easily at full throttle. Have tried smaller O rings and longer screws but still occurs, however not in flight.
Jeremy  1 points - 5/10/2012

What are the O rings included in the accessories pack for? An explanation would be appreciated!
 Dénes 3 points
The size o ring 2mmx 16mm
 Ryan 5 points
I assume you are talking about the two small, black elastic(ish) bands. They are used to secure the prop to the shaft of the motor, as shown here www.link

Apologies, I can't seem to attach the link. However if you google 'prop saver' you will see what they do.

Hello thank who help me. My question is this how do I know that motor serves to manufacture a plane myself or reference select, power, voltage? Thank you ..
 RimRc 9 points
the motor and prop combination have to give enough trust for your airplane. Find a plane here on HK that has about the same shape and weight and see if there are comments about used motor / prop combinations.. at least thats how i do it, and workd for me!
eimix  49 points - 2/24/2012

Are there compatible shaft available here? In case I broke or bent this one - it happens sometimes :)
 Kellyann 16220 points
eimix it happen a lot. It has a standard 3mm shaft so you can find heaps under motor parts or you could do what I do and pinch one out of a old computer CDROM (2 x 3mm guides inside). I hope this helps
 Shaunak 5 points
ahh no.. That shaft is mounted to the rotor.. and its really difficult to do that, trust me I lost a costly motor trying to do that.

Would this work with a 7x5,5 prop and a 36 amp ESC?
 jamil 34 points
i m using 8x4 prop and amp 14.1 so if u use 7x7.5 i think amp is going to be 15amp so i think is ok to use that prop thanks

Hey Mate, I am running the following setup (all hobbyking gear) which is pulling 13amps and producing 150 watts: ESC: Turnigy Plush 25 Amp rating***Prop: APC 7X5***Turnigy R/C LED Lighting System***Fiber-Optic Lights for night flying X 2***OrangeRx R610 $pektrum DSM2 6Ch 2.4Ghz Receiver***ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 20C.

I like the nice chart - If it only revealed the spacing of the mounting holes...

I bought one. the mounting holes: 28x28mm

*Ednac Very funny I cant read chinese.

I posted a new pdf file, this time with "fonts embedded" - this should work for you. Be warned though: I bought two of these and both failed (one within minutes of use) - the windings are shorted against the stator - a bad batch of wire or perhaps the coating on the stator is bad. I wouldn't buy this unless you plan on re-winding it until HK fixes the problem. I have a couple of the HK 2612 motors that stutter on startup, this could be the same issue, just not as severe (yet).

With 2s, a 9" or 10" prop is appropriate. With 3s, an 8" or 9".
 pilotedeligne 1 points
8 prop is good with 3s

bought this to use it in the tek sumo. 7x5 prop 3s 1300mah battery is a great combo. good vertical speed too. motor only gets a bit warm after flight and battery is not even warm... about 10 mins flight with controlled throttle
