More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo  nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.

In short, less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.

Unfortunately with other big brands, numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.

1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries:
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.
-Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC
-Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.
-Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
-Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

In series(wiring a single positive of one pack to negative on the other - chaining the batteries) batteries produces double the voltage and the capacity(mah) is the same as a single pack(though at higher voltages it is often used faster). In parallel(wiring pos. - pos. , neg. - neg.) the voltage is the same as a single pack and the capacity(mah) is doubled(double runtime!).

BO - This is a good battery for your truck. The issue is that it was discharged too far. A Rooster esc, and esc's that are older do not have a lipo voltage cutoff. A lipo battery should not be discharged to voltages as low as nickel-metal and ni-cad packs were safely discharged. This onboard alarm could save your battery in this situation - http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18987__On_B
oard_Lipoly_Low_Voltage_Alarm_2s_4s_.html If
you upgrade to a brushless esc and motor they have a lipo cutoff feature that avoids battery damage automatically, as well as higher performance and efficiency over brushed systems.

My friend gave me a NC5300.2S2P.30 Turnigy nano-tech 5300mah 2S2P 30~60C Hardcase Lipo Pack and this is the first Lipo battery I have ever owned. It is expanding out of the hard case and looks as if it's about to explode. This can't be normal. It ran in my truck for 14 min before it started to lose battery power. I'm using it in a Traxxas Electric Rustler with a Novak Rooster 12 turn ESC and a Trinity/Epic 16 turn brushed double motor with 86 tooth spur and 20 tooth48p pinion. I also have an Integy chassis and this hardcase battery barely fits. So I do like the size of it. My questions are "Am I using the wrong battery for my truck"? And if so wich battery sould I be using.
 boohoo 12 points
if it were me i would put it in a bath of salt water for 24 hours as it does sound like its about to explode and you dont want to be any were near it if it does as for what battery you need the nanop-techs are pretty good for the price you pay so i would say anything over 500mah and 2s would be good and try and get one above the 30c rating

I Have got a question dudes, someone know and explain to me what is the diference between XT60 for 2 Packs in Series and XT60 for 2 in Parallel what is the diference? made more voltage? more mah? can someone explain to me cause i want to put 2 baterie of these in a Genesis boat with a Hobbyking 200a esc. Thankss
 GG_NAMPPU 73 points
If you put them in series, you will double the voltrage but keep the same mAh's. Parallel will double your voltage, but mAh's will stay same as with one battery.

Need to solder the wires to the battery? no weld!! Alguien me puede decir si hay que soldar los cables a la bateria?
 jeremy 9 points
people use different plugs so this is best
 Jeison 42 points
Hello Dani. Soldering the wires in the battery it's not necessary . See pictures and note in the wires a male conector to plug directly on female plug on battery.

Could someone help me to understand the difference between 2S2P and 2S1P (not technical, but advantages and disadvantages in the use and recharge)? This 2P would be better? Why? I almost bought this: "Turnigy 5000mAh 2S1P 7.4v 30C hardcase pack (ROAR APPROVED)", but I saw this 2S2P with similar price, and I was in doubt. I'll be using on a Savage XS. Thanks!  GG_NAMPPU 73 points
Technically you will stress your cells less, because the power needed is divided for 2 cells laid parallel :)

amperage? thanks
 tropicar 1134 points
Charge them with 1C (5.3A).
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Dennik 20 points
Charge rate is max 5C 5,3A x 5 = Max charge amperage of 26,5A You need a really high end charger if you want to charge at 26,5A. Low charge rate 0,2A-0,5A gives your charger more time to balance properly. Store your Lipo's at 3,6V-3,8V cell voltage. Equals 7,2V-7,6V pack voltage.
 Dany 1 points
it means its safe to charge it up to this rating, but the most commonly used charge rate is 1C so 5.3A.
 JORGE 13 points
Acabado superior y el precio muy bueno aun no las probe pero tienen que ir muy bien estan muy bien balanceadas todas sus celdas y sacan su descarga por igual

5.3A is better i think.
 SAVAGEry 36 points
meh 5a is good! :)
 Rafael 1 points
Just charge using balance! 5a is just fine! Hope i've helped
 mattio79 120 points
TOSS THAT GARBAGE CHARGER IN THE TRASH BEFORE YOU BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!! you need to get the iCharger 106b (well worth the $80) and you can charge the nanotech 5.3Ah at 10A no problem. you want the most reliability in a charger, because if you charge lipos improperly, you can cause a fire. the FAKE ( WHY ON EARTH would someone sell something Deliberately fake?) charger is a risk not worth taking.
 THERAMMSTEINER 6 points
thnx but my charger working great now....
 SAVAGEry 36 points
I got that charger from hobbyking and this battery... works flawlessly, can't see the problem... charging 5a on all my packs (5k mah, 5.3k mah and 4k mah) :)
 Sabri 1 points
Use balance and 5a... works perfectly well for me... using 5kmah, 5.3kmah
Yes always balance charge to protect your lipo.

On some battery there is a MAX charge current (ex 7amps from another LiPo I had at home) What is the max charge current on this LiPo:s??
 STAVROS 1 points
it is around 4 to 5c for safety do not exceed 3c
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Fastiz 20 points
1c=5.3A 3c=15.9A Max Charge Rate(C)=5 (5x5.3=26,5A)
 Stephen 2 points
Best to charge Li-po's at 1c rating, in your case 5.3 amps and on a balance charger to get the best performance and longest life from them. Yes you can charge them at a greater c rate but at the expense of battery life long term.
 mattio79 120 points
1c charge rate will give you the best capacity with the slowest ( about 90 minutes including tapering off from dead flat ( NEVER BELOW 3V/cell)(cv phase)charge. 2c will take about 45 minutes, 3c will take about 30 minutes and 4c will take just under 20 minutes. the disadvantage to the faster charge rates is twofold* heat and microshorts. heat will allow your battery to perform better ( about 100f) or simply catch fire ( this usually spins out of control at about 160f. microshorts are what ca

can i take the blue plug out when im using it in my car because it gets in the way
 Veeti 1 points
what do you mean with blue plug?
 Ronald 1 points
yes, you can take the blue plug out when using the battery. plug it in when you are charging your pac, it's the wire that balances the cells, very important to have it connected when charging.
 Fastiz 20 points
Yes. No need for it to be in the battery. just the and -. (red and black)
 Stephen 2 points
It will be the small (2mm) connector between the 4mm connectors ( Black - and Red ). This is purely for use when balance charging the pack.
 mattio79 120 points
if you remove the blue plug, make very sure that you do not remove the other wires from the balance plug. if you tear the wires, you will not be able to balance the pack. if it is in the way, unplug it and secure it to either of the discharge wires, making sure not to cause a short. ( the power available from these battery packs will most definitely burn that wire until it breaks, causing burns to you or setting fire to whatever it touches.
 brianpestow 4 points
The middle plug can be taken out while running. It is only used for balance charging.

where i use hard case ?
 munsaf 291 points
you can use it in RC cars bots !
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Rubén 2 points
The best site is in RC cars. If u want to drive in official races is obligatory to use hard case lipos.
 Jeison 42 points
Hard case is a external protection of the battery only. Instead of the conventional plastic protection (with a less thickness) . And you can use in cars, boats and airplanes.

Can i use a regular lipo balance charger for these? I'm thinking i can but just want to make sure before i buy some cheers :)
 apisz 2 points
of course can!!! just buy, dont look back :)
 dino1 54 points
work fine on reguler batt charger
 Ville 6 points
you can use normal lipo charger.
 Dennik 20 points
You can use a regular balance charger, the 2 cells i parallel(2P) automatically balances and the balancer reads same voltage on both.
 ptit_os 2 points
yes work with same balance plug (traxxas, venom)
 MKibanez 1 points
I charged it once only on a B6AC charger and I have now this message on the charger screen: Battery check low voltage, do anybody knows why?

Connectors fit nice and tight in the battery. Bought two of these for Savage Flux. Had to cut a small hole in the battery tray to make them fit but that's not a big deal to me. No issues charging. Ran longer than my more expensive batteries bought at LHS. Pre-tinned wires made soldering connectors easy. I plan to order more since my truck is now modified for them.

Top quality lipo's! Arrived 15 days after purchase (Hong Kong > UK). I ordered a pair of them, both were balanced perfectly at 3.88v (each cell) Come very well packed, plenty of bubble wrap to protect the cells. The Hard case around the cells is very nice, and seem durable enough for 1/8 EP buggy. Can't wait to try them out on track, and also can't wait to place another order. Thanks HK!
