More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Suited to the following models: Hirobo Lepton EX, HIROBO SDX-EP(4S x 2)
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries: -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
4mm will handle a little more than that but the point is that the connectors supplied reflect the likely and more the point, sensible current draw for a given pack.
I think the lipos should be charged with 1C but some batteries have 5C or 10C or 15C charging rate but bo not worry you can charge it for this battery is 8C maximum...
There is a warning label that says 8C max charge amperage. They will get a faster charge but its always good to charge 1C when you can, its better for the battery.
4000mah 4A for hour so that 60*4=240A for minute if you fly constant 50A,hence* 240/50=4,8 in theortical but sometimes the motor takes 20-30-40-50-60A so that you can fly approximately 5-6-7-8-9-10 minutes.:)
the quality of nano-tech batteries are better than the others, no doubt but you can get more current continuously from zippy 40C morever they are cheaper than those batteries,,, good luck

It`s a shame they are a few mm`s too wide to fit in Car battery holders!
It`s about time Turnigy put these Nanotech cells into Hardcase packs for Cars and they would sell thousands.
I had place order 4pcs of this battery, after wait for 3 weeks, suddently this battery become back order. After check to HK, they give me reason said the battery had damage and can't deliver. I have to cancel this part. :(

Very good LiPo, arrived with 3.7 volts/cell & exactly balanced. With a small amount of sanding of the battery compartment, this LiPo fits into the batt compartment of the FMS 1450mm wingspan P-51 Mustang & provides all the power the stock 500kv motor could ask for. Also a worthy purchase as will allow you to upgrade the motor in the future to something with more power. BUY A FEW, YOU WONT REGRET IT !! A FROM ME!
