Ever wished your Turnigy 9X transimitter had a backlit LCD? Wish no more! the Turnigy 9X LCD backlight kit is here! Other solutions require soldering or use a noisy inverter, voiding CE and warranty. However the Turnigy LCD Backlight Kit is LED driven and is a snap to install!
No soldering is required, you can do this simple upgrade yourself. If you can use a screw driver you can install this backlight!
Specs: Input Voltage: 8v - 13v Current Draw: 60~90mA Color: White
Overall it was an easy install, except trying to keep the backlight panel aligned correctly with the LCD screen while closing up the receiver. It tends to want to slide off. Instructions say to use double sided tape...make sure you get some before installing.
do not use double sided tape! or use only small pieces on edges only... the spot of contact of double sided tape glue is clearly visible through LCD.... with all it's bubbles inside.... Following this s***d instruction was my mistake...
Yeap installation was easy with even the helps and guides on YouTube. I bought this White version and really happy with the outcome. Now I can see the LCD Screen much better.
Thank you for providing the photo installation instructions! The only difficult part was removing the original foam pad to replace with the new thinner foam pad; The adheasive on the pad was very strong. All I can recommend is peal it back carefully without putting too much pressure on the board. The LED panel fit in place perfectly. Make sure the connector wire bunches are gently pushed back out of the way as the board is reinstalled. The white light is a big improvement for viewing the display screen. I'm pleased!
havent installeddd it yet but i bet it works great

A cheap and easy solution. If you understand the simple pictures that are posted above here on the website and can follow them, then you can install this back light.
A WORD OF CAUTION: Use extreme caution when removing the screws from the Turnigy transmitter. I have a few screws that will not tighten back up because they were installed very tight at the factory. I will have to put a dab of JB weld or some thread locking compound inside of the holes to ensure the threads are tight.
Overall a good product for an even better price. I think it's time for some night flying!
