Hi guys, can anyone tell me if this hull could bear (enough clearence on the sides) for two Turnigy SK3 Fandrive - 3659-1900kv (90mm EDF) motors for a twin motor setup?
This motors are 36*77. Thanks
Yes I have the hull and two new sk3 1900kv motors, here and just put it in the hull, there is all kinds of room, could fit a 40mm motor if you wanted too, I am thinking of these sk3 motors for a twin also, have not run them yet, but they look likw a nice motor, and a person on a forum I belong to has run one and likes it.
Most prople run 2 blad props, they tend to be faster and are less work to balance, if you want to run a 3 blade, you should go 80% of the diameter of a 2 blade prop, a 3 blade can draw some serious amps.
hey guys I have a genesis. 1 engine. leopard 6s setup. 100 kmh on the left side of the boat lifts up (at 135 kmh not fully gas goes my genesis fly in shallow water.). what are the possibilities to compensate for this it? 2 motors would be a possibility but it is expensive and requires much time. has anyone an idea? Thank you
hi all 8-) I'm looking at getting one of these genesis hulls and doing a strong twin counter rotating brushless setup with 180 amp turnigy marine esc's .. any suggestions on th fastest motors I could run and the best stingers to fit would be appreciated .. I'll soon get myself th appropriate batts aswell ,, have 3800 45c 3s lipos to start with ,, I can see lots of parts on here that look like they'd work but not enough info to make the best choice ,,, chrs
leopard 4082 motors are very affordable and some of the best motors I have ever used. they blow castle and neu motors away and are way cheaper in price. Let me know how the boat runs when you get it done.
Io ne ho messi 2 di quelli che consigliano da 2075 kv..****e regolatori mi sono tenuto alto per sicurezza per non farli friggere, ho messo i turnigy marine da 180A
You can also buy a transom mounted water water pickup. They are adjustable as far as how much pipe is in the water. I find them much better than the rudder pick ups, which don't deliver as much volume, or pressure as the transom mounts do. On my higher temp applications, I run 2 transom mounted pick ups* 1 for motor & 1 for the ESC. Rokcster
Hi ! If just buy this empty hull and is it hobby king sell all the parts it ?? and does it come with any manual and show that what is the item and spec that you need for this hull ??
optimal hardware for the genesis cata ,i have leopard motor 4082 /1250 kv and esc 300a and 8s/2 lipos
wath is ok for hardware rudder, teflon, flex ect ect...
thank's for email to tapioca77694*laposte****

Why HK sells only the hull and not bother to produce the full boat to replace the stock of -16 boats that are waiting patiently since mid-April? They truly are not concerned with their customers.
i would guess with the amount of bashing that the electronics get that they get less flack from selling just a hull. i just boat a boat and had i not i would have purchased this hull as i was waiting also to see stock on the full boat.
its more expensive because lots of people try to convert it to twin propeler or twin motors, instead of buying a single prop it has a hole in the middle already for tubing, so its better to buy just a hull
note,,,,, twin props more better looking and faster
stock motor and 4S on a T180 ESC. Somehow one of the blades on prop snapped off which caused the 4mm shaft to break and the strut bent 30 degrees. If your going to buy this hull ALWAYS use a minimum of 3/16 inch flex shaft. Anything smaller is just ****. 4mm for this boat is just too small
i am using the 4mm and running it on 5s but i replaced the stock plastic prop with an x443 it runs a bit hot but is fast if your looking for something fast but cant run for long
i am replacing the stock motor with a leopard 3674/2650kv to get 49,025 rpm on 5s but dont think it will lats long at that eather but i can just run 4s to get longer life i guess but that will only be about 39,000 rpm www.link

Good quality, nice paint job, almost quality level of well known german brands like Hydro Marine etc., the only thing is that HK does not offer every hardware to build up a customized twin engine BL setup, e.g. metal props left are missing.

yes yes..... have been running the bullet proof turnigy 180A speedy on 2x3s in series(that is 6s ) with the stock motor and the brass prop same dimentions as the plastic ones supplied, corners great and have clocked it at 90kph.... i can't praise this boat enough, with a set of nano tech batteries it will go faster again , if you are looking to buy a boat this is a great investment....
