Hello, airman's teams, is this model suitable for a flight beginner and does give to tuning kits (air-screw - to get more push & Servos - to raise the reaction velocity)? Thanks in prerau.

Can i use 2 of these Turnigy 1370A Servo 3.7g/0.4kg/.10sec in this plane?

I would like to use this with the hobbyking 4xFhss tx. Can somebody please suggest a micro rx to suit? I have looked & looked and am either stupid or not looking hard enough! Thanks in advance

have decided to convert it to fossil fuel instead...
 Karl 201 points
you still will need a transmitter and reciever if you are making a plane glow/ gas powered.

Does anyone know what is the weight of just the airframe?
 louigi600 218 points
If I remember correctly it's about 40g without motor but including spinner cone and landing gear. I weighed everything to check that I was within the flying weight specs because I was using a supermicro RX system but a bigger battery. Overall I was still within the specs.

would this work
 louigi600 218 points
Yes possibbly but: this plane only requires 3 channles to fly, 13g is massive for this plane. You might prefer to use something like www.link

Celine yes it will work but a bit heavy. You can use PRODUCT ID: HK-GT2_RX Hobby King GT-2 2.4Ghz Receiver 3Ch. It will work on the same TX as the 6 channel. It is much lighter. It is only $6. Also you can reduce the weight on both by removing the plastic case. I hope this helps

6 amp esc 2x 2.5g servos 200mah 2 cell bat (maybe 180mah) micro reciever that is compatible with your tx bullet connectors for esc to motor and esc to battery

These little things are pests to fly indoor as they are pretty fast. Keep them as light as possible to reduce to a minimum wing loading. Dawson's setup is fine but take care to choose a light but yet powerfull battery.

do i need one of these
 rcDawson 70 points
Yes you will need plugs to connect the motor to the esc. Preferably use the micro plugs to save weight and www.link The best connectors to use for the battery and the esc are either micro deans or JST (the small red ones) as they are small and light.

They are a little bit too big, you will need lighter 2-2.5 gram servos, for good flight performance you want the weight as low as possible.

One of these would be a better choice for this www.link be prepared to replace the plugs.

does anyone know the size of the plug from the motor, I ordered some but they were too small? These are $11.00 on Ebay with no motor by the way.

Yes, but that would be way too big for this plane, maybe go for the 6 amp esc by Turnigy, it is about the right size and it is light weight- ideal for this plane.

The 6A version is only 2 g lighter. You can use which ever you prefer.

Any idea where's the balance point for this plane ? will it be ok as long as it's balanced within the black (carbon ? ) reinforcement under the wing ?
 Kellyann 16227 points
louigi600 Yes the old rule of thumb one third of cord length is a good place to start. So you should be correct. I hope this helps. the manual is rubbish???
 louigi600 218 points
The best starting point would be if the instructions told you where exactly the balance point should be :-D. Indoor flight is very unforgiving vor bad initial trim and balance point.
 Kellyann 16227 points
louigi600 ye it would but the instructions are rubbish SORRY.

Do these actually fly?

Oh yes it is a great little plane. It looks great indoor and outdoors on a very calm day. It is a must that you us micro range gear for weight is important. Well the lack of weight.

Thanks but I was looking for an outdoor plane (Hard to find indoors big enough around here) and most days are not calm.
 louigi600 218 points
Alison: is it manuverable enough to fly in an indoor basketball court or would I end up gust flying circles around the court ?
 Allison 1358 points
I do not wish to hi jack Sally's question but a double basketball court at least.
 waterlogged 2587 points
louigi600, these two people are actually Kellyann, along with 4 others. Kellyann isn't a girl he's a 42 year old male from India who has 6 or more false accounts. He logs on under one false ID and answers a question and then pays himself 20 cents. All the time Mr.Kalyan from India gets all the money. So far he's scammed about $2,000.00 from Hobbyking. Sally, Allison, DelSt, Sharron, Chris, Bacter and Kellyann are all the same person.
 PeterBe 62 points
LOL, 2k in 20c increments ... hard way to make money
 waterlogged 2587 points
Gee this is an old thread mate. I assure you those are the figures, hard to imagine but to quote the person who ran the scam, "I won't give it up, it subsidizes my hobby" Dozens of question a day all asked by the group of fake IDs and all Immediately answered by another of the group. Over more than 12 months. It's nothing to laugh at mate. It's not hard work when a person becomes obsessed. It became his fix. He desperately needed to buy his next plane. I hope you don't agree with someone doing it. Remember, that money was ours and HK was good enough to pay it out as a bounty. No longer, but you'll notice whenexer you order something from Hong Kong in the right hand column there's either a heli or bunch of hobby knives for very little. Just another way to give back a little something to those who support them.
 PeterBe 62 points
Gotta admire work ethic . I wouldn't type question , log out , clear cookies, log in and give semi coherent response all for 20c . I would question intelligence though , surely he'd make far more than that pestering Aussies at a call centre . How do you know of this rogue's antics ? Are you privy to IP addresses ?
 waterlogged 2587 points
All I can say is that a gentleman involved with military intelligence introduced himself to me some time ago and being a hobbyist saw what was going on and did some investigations which led to plenty of proof and photos. Written statements the works. I even emailed him and asked him to stop he totally ignored me. He actually believes he's doing no wrong but the more you read his posts you'll notice how he disassociates himself from the truth. He definitely has problems. He will often start accusing me of what he's doing. He manipulates people by saying what that person wants to hear, that's how he got extra payments. Try finding older posts, you'll be surprised
 waterlogged 2587 points
Sorry, I meant to add that Kellyann is the head fake ID. Follow that ID along with, Sharron, Delst, Bacter, Sally, Chris, and Allison. All fake.
 balloonguys 80 points
I was a collousion and fraud analyst for a well known bookmakers and used to find chineese doing similar kinda thingsto get $100 sign up bonuses, they would spend days playing $1 - $2 cents games to qualify for it. There were hundreads at it and in poor countries 20 cents could be half a days a wage so it adds up for 'em!!
 waterlogged 2587 points
I know how you feel. This wasn't going to any person living in a mud hut. It was someone with a Uni degree and working a a water treatment facility. He openly stated to a friend of mine in India he would never give up his scam because it subsidized his hobby. The person running the scam has been kicked off three times now. He just keeps coming back with another ID. At least the scammer incentive has been removed which upset him no end. It sure adds up, in excess of $2,000,00.

Is it possible to fly in a basketball court, whats the max weight of trhust, I´*m thinking to use a 2 (9 gr servos)? what the total weight of your suggested configuration
 startazz 952 points
I would of thought so if your flying is up to it,on the servo side of things i would of said 9gr would be to heavy, the max i would use is 5gr servos and not sure on total weight but i hope this help you some what.
 louigi600 218 points
You could possibly fly with 9g servos but you might need a little more power and a larger space to fly in. Also the 9g servos are bigger then the advised 2.5g ones and you might have trouble fitting everything in the fuselage. I'd avoid using 9g servos on this machine and to that matter also the 5g servos of the same size of 9g ones.
simo  4 points - 11/7/2011

I can use servos 9 grams

Planes with high wing loading will still fly: but may become very unforgiving to any pilot mistaks.

Hi Denek, I do not have one of these little beuties but if you look at the amount of 'Diahedral' on the wings you should realise it is Elevator & Rudder only. It will not need Ailerons. Happy Landings.

Hello, could someone give me the links for the required parts, and does the ailerons work with one servo and elevator with another because it only needs 2 servos... thank you

Can this plane fly with a single cell 3.7v configuration? Or is it too heavy?
 F100CUFFLINK 887 points
IF YOU FLY IT WITH 1 CELL ITS PROPBLY NOT GOING TO ,PLUSS ITS NOT GOING TO POWER YOUR RECEIVER AND SERVO/S SO WHY EVEN BOTHER TO TRY? its made for 2 so use 2 you will love it .
Colony  14 points - 3/18/2011

Does anyone know if the HK-T6A-V2 receiver fits this plane and also if its weight (13g) is light enough?
 F100CUFFLINK 887 points
i think it will ,also i think hk makesa 4 channel v2 and if they do i would go with that. they both work with the turnigy 9x transmitter
 rene 9 points
Hobby King GT-2 2.4Ghz Receiver 3Ch bottom line smallest, lightest weight. you can even remove the plastic cove for even lighter weight binds with turnigy and hk transmitters. this looks like a three chanel plane.

I was thinking of buying this cute little spitfire, but it can only be delivered via 30 bucks EMS to Sweden. So, no thanks!
 Wireman 343 points
Nar jag lagger Spitten i varukorgen och checkar ut finns bara EMS som fraktsatt. Testa garna. Jag hade tankt kopa ett par saker till och hamnade over 500 gram, darav 30 dollar. Annars 25 for bara flygplanet.
 numse 154 points
Konstigt.

I bought this plane as a RTF including the motor batteries and servos. As this version only includes the motor I will confine myself to reviewing the plane and motor only. The plane arrived well packaged and the parts were in good condition. They fit together ok but not exactly but I guess that is to be expected with such a cheap model. The motor supplied with mine was a C10 out runner and it was rubbish. It kept wanting to pull itself apart while running and the screws to stop this were of such poor quality that the slots became unusable for proper tightening. I ended up ordering a new motor which was a much better example of the C10 motor. With the new motor installed I found that the plane was a good flyer and was suitable to use as a low wing trainer. The undercarriage was a little flimsey but it did the job on a hard runway. I have not been able to find replacement props or spinners on HK so if anyone knows where they are could you let me know. 3 stars only because of the poor motor supplied in my model.
