The X8-H module from Assan now offers users of Hitec radios, including the Aurora 9, a choice in 2.4ghz technology. The X8-H also incorporates a new range check function that can be accessed with the press of a button on the module.
Assan X8-H modules are compatible with all mini series and V2 series Assan receivers.
Compatible with: HITEC: Aurora 9, Optic 6 and Eclipse 7
The item has been desperately in backorder for months now even if I've ordered two of them, can you react and send them to me please? My order is blocked because of it.
quick question, hitec no longer makss the optic 6 with the spectrum 72mhz module that i had my assan module in when making it 2.4 and it worked flawlessly. they are becoming increasingly impossible to find not on backorder or overpriced.
my question is if i purchase the new optic 6 2.4 for $200 that has the hitec module already installed.... will the assan replace it so i can continue to fly all 15 planes outfitted with assan rx's?
i'm not converting the optic sport. the optic 2.4 with the module has all the same switchs and buttons.it looks identical with exception of the antenna. i really need reasurance before buying another hitec tx which i personaly like very much. any help will be greatly appreaciated. thanks ,stu
OK guys, sanded down the module so it fits nicely into the A9 but I cant seem to get it into bind mode. No matter what i do, set t. limit to 100%, switch around the channel assignments, move all the gimbles, start with a clean model, the light just stays green. What am i doing wrong? Any ideas? Oh and the light on the front of my TX is red not sure if that is worth mentioning or not.
It basically lets you use the less expensive assan rx's. You don't have to past the full price but you lose the telemetry function as a trade off. Hope this helps.
Hi Guys, I am currently using the Futaba Assan module on my Optic 6. I am planning to buy the Aurora 9. Can i just reuse my previous Assan module on the Aurora 9?
anche io ho ricevuto oggi ma mia moglie e uscita e percio devo andare domani comunque o letto che bisogna carteggiare un pochino, pazienza comunque assan lo uso da molti anni e non ho avuto mai problemi possiamo perdonare
I just bought an X8-H for an Optic 6 TX. These modules are bullet proof and the range check feature plus the diode to maintain trim memory in the Optic are nice features. The RX's are very inexpensive and very small and light. Hard to beat. I'm flying all 20 to 50cc gas planes.
Assan only make them for Futana/Hitec and JR.
I've never heard of Airtronics module.
You can simple use the hack module, it is the same item just requires a little work. www.link
**-Assan.cn does not show 8X-H model..
**-Can anyone confirm that NONE of the Aurora's capabilities is lost with this one mounted? (exept for telemetry of course)
**-Assan.cn lists V2 receivers, can't find any V2 compatable receivers on HobbyKing...?
**-Planning on buying this for light, cheap and numerous planes/indoor planes etc, is this worth it?
**-Depends on cheap enough receivers...is this a good "investment"?
(Feel free to boost my low rating on HK (old bad manners in the distant past..*-)
All receivers HK sells are V2, they have not made V1 for years. I fly my large EDF jets Assan only and with very good results, way less issues compare to friends with Spectrum.
this is crazy! hitec spectra modules cost much less than this! try $36.99? you lose 1 channel, telemetry function, warning beeps, and of course AFHSS! i don't see the need for this one.
May be the spectra is cheaper but not the receiver. Hitec receiver cost more than 45$ for the smaller one and near 100$ for the bigger. Assan receiver begin at 19$... Just by 2 or 3 and it s a good deal *)

1 thumbs up!
I just received my module today. Yep sure is tight. My problem is I cannot get my Aurora 9 to bind to my Assan receivers. I should mention that the Asaan receivers I bought I used on a Futaba radio for over a year. But it says here that all the Assan receivers are compatiable. A little help please..... Thank you Major rush

How cool is that. For all those who were happy with the Assan Module in the Optic 6, you're gonna be delighted with this module in your Aurora 9. However, it's a VERY tight fit in the module bay.
Assans reliability and reasonable pricing combined to the Aurora's programming capability is in my opinion the best combination ever.
No glitches, Cularis as far away as I could see...
Just received my Assan hitec module, first let me say... ASSAN did you ever try and test fit a module in an A9???? this module was so tight once in I had to PRY it back out!!! after a bit of sanding on the case it fit's much better... once again... Assan... next time work on the module fit BEFORE release!!! (quality gets 3 crowns)
Now then, fit aside IT WORKS GREAT!!! no problem getting into PPM mode on the A9 and all my nearly 2 year old receivers(14 total) bound with no issue. One thing to remember with binding, if the module won't go into bind mode make SURE the end points on the elevator are at 100pcnt... binding should take no more than a few seconds! The new range check feature is sweet! and seems to work well... at about 50 paces(150 feet or so) I started to get glitching and signal loss when holding the range check button down... once released FULL signal and no problems!
All in all... if you have an A9 and were flying Assan on another system DO get this module!

Lite anpassning av modulen med en kniv så passar den perfekt. Servona går snabbare med 2,4Ghz. Nu får min Hitec Eclipse7 följa med in i framtiden. Missförstod först instruktionen men fick snart allt att fungera perfekt
