Why so many sells? I have a slick 360 and use 4s and NTM Prop Drive 35-48 Series 900KV / 815W. I was thinking of using the same in this plane. Is there any reason that i can not do that?
Does someone know how high the plane is ? So I know what size(s) props can be fitted..
Does someone also know what will be a good setup for light 3D ( i am still learning 3D style )
I received my box in 15 day, very fast shipping. I tested the model saturday, amazing flight characteristics, the configuration is the one suggested by HK, motor turnigy G60, esc Turnigy 70A, battery 6S 4000Mah, propeller APC 16x8, servos Turnigy 620DMG .
servo plates have a 32.5 by 18 mm opening. All the servo wells are deep enough for minis. I chose the Corona DS238MG but it requires a mounting plate. The rudder servo I'm using is the HK752MG. 35mm by 15mm So my rudder servo opening will be shaved a bit longer from 32.5 to 35.5.
Well bought a Kanata mini and a extra 260 from precision aerobatics, going to give HK 1 week to advise when this is going to be in or cancel the 2 planes, sbach 342 1400mm, and 1 other. Nothing worse than unable to be informed from a site..... AKA last order sat in limbo saying it was shipped, tracking did not show after 3 days, olnine support day 4 stated 3-5 days, day 6 and 7, we will contact shipping... Day 8 "when I should have recieved" tracking states "accepted" what is up HK? your falling apart again... P.S. Why is every online support agent named "Ivy" ?
Quick update... Support finally agrees and has yet to adjust delivery date as...... "Probably never: :( Because I have ordered and recieved the motors/Esc's/Servos/ and 342 5s batt's... and will not accept a "credit online" for the never to show Sbach-55in_EP..... Unless they refund fully and pay return shipping.. It's staying on b/o... P.S. the Katana Mini from precision aerobatics floats like it is on strings..WoW And the 2 planes arrived within 5 days from Australia :)... no duties.....Sweet My last 17 cents.... GL HK were done with yu untill you wake up and listen to the complaints that go unresolved
vikram Jason5001 is the man. If he says NO we better believe it. It is made electric motor. To do the the MANUFACTURER can cut weight because of the lack of Vibration from an electric motor. But the vibration from an IC engine would tear her apart. Even if it would fly, after a few flights oil would get into the gapes that open up. I hope this helps
you can use mini servo for this baby. But i prefer only to use the mini servo such as Hitech HS-65 MG only for aileron and rudder. I use standard servo (also MG)for elevator with some mod of course. Try to use good precision servo okay.
grant they are what i call NORMAL (Full size) SERVOs but these days what is normal?? Hobby King call them a standard servo. Have a look under Servos and parts > Std. Servo 31-49g . Just remember you need High Torque Digital Servos. Have a look at the manual you can down load it under the FILES tab. I hope this helps
This is why HK lost me a while back as a Platinum Member. Looking back I can't believe I played their game checking on stock status every day. I don't shop HK anymore but I got an email claiming this was in stock. I decided to check for fun and sure enough it's on back order. Check out ValueHobby. They have similar planes and are actually in stock. Shipping is a fraction of the cost of HK. I can't believe I spent all that time cecking on the stock status at HK when I could have been flying. Oh well lesson learned!

not a beginner aircraft...advanced flyers aircraft. Your setup works...maybe smaller prop...14x10, I don't know if the ground clearance would be generous enough for a 16 inch prop.
Not unless you beef up the engine mount considerably and fuel proof it...then maybe.

Install SK5055-580, 80Amp ESC, 15x8 prop, 4000mah 5S1P and it flies incredibly well. Use 6S1P 4000mah and it goes totally ballistic!
Notably flies knife edge very well, little or no coupling.
Finish of the components is very good and the other guys at the field will appreciate a good looking plane.
One small problem - because the tail feathers are flat I experienced failure of one stabilizer due to flutter during a high speed spin.
All in all a terrific plane!! A must have.

Excelente acabamento, lindo mesmo, coloquei um 50-65 com 6s4000, esc 70-80, hélice 15x8apc, ficou perfeito! O único "defeito" no projeto é o profundor e o estabilizador, é muito fraco, deu floater e quebrou o estabilizador.. aconselho colocar 2 servos para o profundor e trocar o estabilizador por um de balsa inteirisso... o manual é péssimo.

Ich habe mein Paket gestern bekommen. Super Qualität. Leicht zu bauen und alles dabei, sogar Sicherungen für die Servoverlängerungen. Bauanleitung in schwarz-weiss und in Farbe auf CD. Habe das Flugzeug an einen Abend zusammengebaut. Warte jetzt auf den Erstflug.
I received my package yesterday. Super quality. Easy to build and everything here, even backups for the servo extensions. Instructions in black and white and in color on CD. Have the aircraft assembled in one evening. Now waiting on the first flight.
