Turnigy 5200mAh 2S 30C Hard-Case Car Lipo Pack (USA Warehouse)
The new number one in performance and price! The new Turnigy Lipoly packs deliver full capacity at the said C rate. You wont find a better deal in Lithium Polymer batteries anywhere!
i know they fit the associated b4,b4.1.great for racing i used them in my b4.1,slash 2wd,hpi blitz and slash 4x4.what buggy are you looking to put them in?
Are you kidding? These battery is perfect for bash and for race at the track. I mainly 2s zippy 5000mah for my bashing and racing at my local track here in souther california.
Great battery for the price. A real bang for the buck. You should have no problems with that battery in your SC. I use the same battery in my rc10 4.1 and sc10 4x4
they do fit in my 2wd sc10rs, but they are a little snug I can't slide them all the way forward in my battery tray and get the battery strap to lock but in the mid or rear position the work ok still a little tight though 10ga wires are a pain to. I will go with a little thinner one next time mabey 25mm. performance is awsome though would definatley buy again.
Yes it should but if you still have the brushed motor and speed controller in it I would consider getting a brushless setup for it. HK has some for a real good price.
Brushed ESC DO NOT like a battery with this much current output, trust me I just burnt out a LOSI high output ESC on the stock motor with a 5000mah 20c and the HPI ones are even more sensitive.30c is to high of a burst for sure!
Also, you should consider that a brushed esc that is designed to run Nicd or Nimh that doesnt need a cut off voltage setting, if you run a Lipo with this set up aside from to much current you could over drain your Lipo and Damage the battery as well
it is called running in series or paralell try to goole that and you will find all sorts of stuff like how to take two 2s and run the as 4s or as one 2s with double the mah
generally you can use 2s 1p lipos in place of nimh or nicad batteries that most esc and brushed motors are made for. so 2s 1p batteries are upgrades mostly for 1/10th scale cars while other 2s 3s 4s batteries are for 1/8 or helis, planes etc
Hey all, I'm just getting back into RC after many years and lipo's are new to me. Is there any difference in the hard case 2s packs versus say the blue shrink wrapped lipos?
Hard pack just adds a bit more protection from dents and dings. If the battery is protected inside the car, you don't really need it. If you have something like the emaxx which has the batteries near the outside without protection, id go hard packs.
Power-wise they are the same. The hardcase lipos are more resistant to puncture and more shock-resistant than the soft packs, but I have used both in my Slash and 1/10 stadium truck with great results. If you are just racing, either one is fine, but if you do a bit of bashing ( big jumps etc) the hard case will be better for you.
There is no difference between the battery or its performance. The hard casing helps to protect the battery during usage from the wear and tear of pulling it in and out of your battery tray and accidental drops. The plastic tends to tear and wear out and you have to tape them back up. Both are good though.
The hard case is better for offroad cars. The soft packs can get damaged and dented. They are both good if you take care of them, hard pack just offers a little more protection.
The only difference in the batterys are. That on is what is called a soft pack and could easier be damaged, Where as the hard pcased on is not as easily damaged. But other than that they are the same ones as long as the MAH and C rate are the same.
Some racing leagues (ROAR, particularly) require the use of hard-cased LiPo packs for competition. If you do not race, or your local track does not mandate hard-case packs, then you won't notice a difference. I have 2 of these packs, as well as several soft packs, and they all perform essentially the same.
Hard case LiPo pack are more for off-road environments. They take a better beating during big air jumps and major impacts protecting the cells from damage and thus preventing fire. Even in On-road situations I prefer the durability of a hard case.
theres no difference in performance from a hard case and soft just more protection for a plane wouldnt need the hard case just add more weight but for a car or truck thats gonna be flipped all the time it adds lot of protection and easyer to waterproof hope it helps
The hard case packs seem to have more punch but other than that i cant tell any difference,I race every weekend and use both,I have had mine for over a year with great performance
No, its up to the user. Many people like the hard packs because they can take alittle more abuse on the case then the soft packs. I run both soft and hard.
Performance wise no difference. The main advantage is the added safety of the hard case esp. In vehicles where there is chance of a battery being damaged in a wreck. Erevo or summit there enclosed so a soft covering is fine There may be some size constraints but every hard case will fit in a traxxas e revo, summit, and e maxx.
hard case last a lot longer than soft pack these have thick wires that can be hard to solder but have great punch for the price, pack itself is a little thick buts fits most 1/10 scale rc
I have been running the turnigy hardcase packs since they were available in the US, very nice stuff and well worth the cost, offroad racing and bashing they are a must, but onroad carpet racing I ue softs, because there lighter...
I perfer the hardcase over the regular because it gives a bit more protection and fits trucks and cars much better. but performance is the same. i recommened this battery you will love it wires coming out of this thing is insanely thick which means power
Hard case take more abuse, but soft case are just fine. They are all the same batteries, but hardcase packs are intended for use in cars where they will have to suffer through more hits and rough stuff.
If you are racing you need to have hard case packs. The hard case is to help reduce the chance af a puncture cell and fire. If the case is cracked glue will fix it.
The tracks i race are very competative, lots of bashing, the turnigy hard packs fiy nice in my slash 4x4. They dont move around and handle extreme abuse. I always prefer hard packs.
Will fit, but it's slightly bigger than nimh packs. I use velcro straps in addition to the stock battery retainer to ensure a better fit (you might have to cut holes for the straps to go through the body).
iam almost 100 sure the slash 2wd and the rustler 2wd have the same bat bay and mine doesnt fit with stock tie downs esc gets in the way but you can wedge itin there and get your own velcro straps just watch out for the large wire size when i got mine i was surprised the wires were 8ga. and the only connectors that would fit were traxxas and i had to have my lhs solder it cause it needed so much solder
They will but you need to use a dremel to clear the wires same for the soft packs since the wires come out the side all my racers use these packs in there trucks, slash, slash 4x4,sc10,jammin scrt10.
the packs are a little thick or tall for battery tray but fits with little mods, yes wires are very thick but batterys have great punch and are worth every penny
yes fits pefectly, you have to make sure your battery hold down strap is flipped over the right way no room to spare but fits great and performance is awsome!

2 thumbs up!
Excellent batteries, well balanced and put out 30C easily. I am suing them in my Traxxas summit and they fit nicely. Beware however the wires are think at 8 wga, you will need to a little dremel acction to get them through the battery boxes on the E-Revo chassis, and little I mean LITTLE dremel action.

These batteries have been working well for me in my Slash and Slash 4x4. They are physically too large to fit in my Rustler or my Losi 1/10 Slider. Mostly it has to do with the way that the leads protrude from the end of the battery rather than the top. The leads are nice and thick (8 or 10 gauge). This might make it difficult to add your flavor of connector. I had to make a short adapter to accomodate my Traxxas connector. If these will fit in your car, they are a good bargain. I will order more for the Slash.

Oredered on Thursday got it on Monday(today). The wires are a bit overkill. Balance was exact. Plenty of punch in a 17.5 Slash. Would have been five stars if it would have been 25 mm tali instead of 26 mm and if the wires came out the top. Beware though this is a heavy battery. 96 grams heavier then Core 5000 mah battery.
