Will the be fine on a quad with 4x 800kv motors?
Jason  1 points - 10/9/2012

does anyone know if these will fit in the 10 scale buggies i wanna pick some up but not sure if they will fit and will they be good for racing
 bienvenido 2 points
i know they fit the associated b4,b4.1.great for racing i used them in my b4.1,slash 2wd,hpi blitz and slash 4x4.what buggy are you looking to put them in?
 Jason 1 points
its the team c tc02 evo which is really close to the b4 so i think ill be ok thanks for the quick response
 IwannaTT 3 points
Look up the max dimensions, they work in most 2wd buggies, if they aren't a perfect fit I'm sure it wouldn't take too much effort to get them to fit.
 Frontedge 1 points
I used this battery in my b4 ft and it fits , but is very tight and ends up tearing the insulation.
william  1 points - 1/10/2012

will these work in sc10rs
 luypham 7 points
Are you kidding? These battery is perfect for bash and for race at the track. I mainly 2s zippy 5000mah for my bashing and racing at my local track here in souther california.
 sean 1 points
Nice battery will work fine for that I just picked up two of them myself.
 Jason 1 points
Great battery for the price. A real bang for the buck. You should have no problems with that battery in your SC. I use the same battery in my rc10 4.1 and sc10 4x4
 Alex 16 points
Yes, check you clearance. I just picked up one of these but I'm going to pick up more. Great price, god connectors.
 Keith 1 points
Yes they will fit fine my buddy runs them in his sc 4x4 sc.
 czktm 1 points
they do fit in my 2wd sc10rs, but they are a little snug I can't slide them all the way forward in my battery tray and get the battery strap to lock but in the mid or rear position the work ok still a little tight though 10ga wires are a pain to. I will go with a little thinner one next time mabey 25mm. performance is awsome though would definatley buy again.
 fredg503 1 points
they work awesome and can't beat the price!!!
 Cody 1 points
I ran 4 in a SC10 all last year and never had a problem.
 sc10driver 5 points
Awesome battery with great run time. Have tons of cycles on them and still using after a year
Josh  1 points - 9/5/2011

can a E firestorm 10ht handle this?
 Joesabre 10 points
Yes it should but if you still have the brushed motor and speed controller in it I would consider getting a brushless setup for it. HK has some for a real good price.
 justin 2 points
Brushed ESC DO NOT like a battery with this much current output, trust me I just burnt out a LOSI high output ESC on the stock motor with a 5000mah 20c and the HPI ones are even more sensitive.30c is to high of a burst for sure!
 Slash2daBone 1 points
too much current..get a hk brushless setup
 Kyle 1 points
Also, you should consider that a brushed esc that is designed to run Nicd or Nimh that doesnt need a cut off voltage setting, if you run a Lipo with this set up aside from to much current you could over drain your Lipo and Damage the battery as well
 crashd 103 points
strange. I run these in my losi 1/10 dt and have no problem. Just have to keep an eye on it as the brushed system has no low voltage cutoff.
matt  5 points - 7/7/2011

What is the difference is 2s 1P and 2s 2P??
 rvanwie 22 points
It means how the (2) cells are run together. 2P is both cells run together.
 snurdly 14 points
1p is like having a 5 gallon pail. 2P is like having a pair of 2.5 gallon pails hooked together.
 tomuchgoodstuff 7 points
it is called running in series or paralell try to goole that and you will find all sorts of stuff like how to take two 2s and run the as 4s or as one 2s with double the mah
 andy 1 points
generally you can use 2s 1p lipos in place of nimh or nicad batteries that most esc and brushed motors are made for. so 2s 1p batteries are upgrades mostly for 1/10th scale cars while other 2s 3s 4s batteries are for 1/8 or helis, planes etc
 Jacky 1 points
I have 2 of these 2s2p batteries. they feels like more power than the 2s1p
 piranhafreak 1 points
I agree with the last person he is correct
 sc10driver 5 points
I also agree with him. I have tried both and they both will work great. 2s2p has the feeling of more punch.
 scott 5 points
have two of these and have many runs on my HPI Blitz with them GREAT BATTS P= Parallel
snurdly  14 points - 4/26/2011

These are 2s2P packs
 __zaza 6 points
yes they are. Found out when the case broke in a crash.
 Turbo442 51 points
These will fit in my E-revo brushless 1/8 scale.
 Mark 3 points
Snuggly but yes they will fit.
 Andrewlc77 5 points
yes, they are 2s2p
 Mey 2 points
great battery i have 5 and fit in a tamiya tto1 perfect.just raised the mounting post and the power is awesome and last pretty long
 Casey 2 points
and great 2s batts
 tomuchgoodstuff 7 points
very good packs the wires are super thick gauge compared to other packs even and theyu are 2s2p
 Nick 22 points
I own 2, and have opened both and have verified they are 2s2p inside.
 Jacky 1 points
yes the are 2s2p. more power
 piranhafreak 1 points
Yes they are i have opened them up and can verfiy
 brushless3.3revo 6 points
I carefully open my case too, found out it was 2s2p. Instantly ordered a few more.
 Slash2daBone 1 points
yes I opened both mine. They are 2 s2p
 Frontedge 1 points
They do fit in a erevo. I run them in mine and they're great.
v8taz  3 points - 1/18/2011

Hey all, I'm just getting back into RC after many years and lipo's are new to me. Is there any difference in the hard case 2s packs versus say the blue shrink wrapped lipos?
 Fidelity 392 points
Hard pack just adds a bit more protection from dents and dings. If the battery is protected inside the car, you don't really need it. If you have something like the emaxx which has the batteries near the outside without protection, id go hard packs.
 v8taz 3 points
thanks fidelity !!
 Wayne 1 points
the hard case lipos are used for cars and trucks because they're incased in a hard plastic to help keep the battery safe from damage.
 Shane 5 points
hard case lipos take more wear and tear... go hard case!!!
 cleansho93 91 points
Hard case packs are more durable in surface vehicles, especially for off-road models.
 rob 5 points
Power-wise they are the same. The hardcase lipos are more resistant to puncture and more shock-resistant than the soft packs, but I have used both in my Slash and 1/10 stadium truck with great results. If you are just racing, either one is fine, but if you do a bit of bashing ( big jumps etc) the hard case will be better for you.
 George 2 points
no difference as far as power. hard case i think is for better battery protection
 trask 1 points
There is no difference between the battery or its performance. The hard casing helps to protect the battery during usage from the wear and tear of pulling it in and out of your battery tray and accidental drops. The plastic tends to tear and wear out and you have to tape them back up. Both are good though.
 czaba 18 points
The hard case is better for offroad cars. The soft packs can get damaged and dented. They are both good if you take care of them, hard pack just offers a little more protection.
 brushless3.3revo 6 points
The hard case lipos are better for Offroad/onroad cars. It offers protection to the battery.
 benjamin 3 points
the bashing cars take I would use hard case, soft case is more for planes
 Dereck 3 points
The only difference in the batterys are. That on is what is called a soft pack and could easier be damaged, Where as the hard pcased on is not as easily damaged. But other than that they are the same ones as long as the MAH and C rate are the same.
 Seth 8 points
Some racing leagues (ROAR, particularly) require the use of hard-cased LiPo packs for competition. If you do not race, or your local track does not mandate hard-case packs, then you won't notice a difference. I have 2 of these packs, as well as several soft packs, and they all perform essentially the same.
 jepensedoucjsuis 6 points
Hard case LiPo pack are more for off-road environments. They take a better beating during big air jumps and major impacts protecting the cells from damage and thus preventing fire. Even in On-road situations I prefer the durability of a hard case.
 kgodkin 11 points
hard cases fit better in the cars and trucks they have a smaller foot print.
 mitchll1088 2 points
theres no difference in performance from a hard case and soft just more protection for a plane wouldnt need the hard case just add more weight but for a car or truck thats gonna be flipped all the time it adds lot of protection and easyer to waterproof hope it helps
 stacey 6 points
The hard case packs seem to have more punch but other than that i cant tell any difference,I race every weekend and use both,I have had mine for over a year with great performance
 Donnie 3 points
just the fact that the hard case makes them more durable than the shrink wrapped ones
 787Dreamliner 7 points
No, its up to the user. Many people like the hard packs because they can take alittle more abuse on the case then the soft packs. I run both soft and hard.
 Curt S 5 points
Performance wise no difference. The main advantage is the added safety of the hard case esp. In vehicles where there is chance of a battery being damaged in a wreck. Erevo or summit there enclosed so a soft covering is fine There may be some size constraints but every hard case will fit in a traxxas e revo, summit, and e maxx.
 __zaza 6 points
The hard case provides more protection to the lipo itself. Other than that they are about the same.
 David 5 points
If you are racing some tracks require hard case batteries, as for everything else as stated above hard case has added protection
 Buggyguy 5 points
I always go with the hard packs just because they are more reliable when you have those bad wrecks or bashing.
 tomuchgoodstuff 7 points
hard case last a lot longer than soft pack these have thick wires that can be hard to solder but have great punch for the price, pack itself is a little thick buts fits most 1/10 scale rc
 mark 1 points
Great packs for the money! only regret is not buying more!
 Boxor 1 points
I don't think I will ever buy hard case packs for my cars again I have cracked the case on 2 of the 4 that I bought about a month ago.
 Irvin 1 points
I have been running the turnigy hardcase packs since they were available in the US, very nice stuff and well worth the cost, offroad racing and bashing they are a must, but onroad carpet racing I ue softs, because there lighter...
 Andrewlc77 5 points
most tracks here go by roar rules and you have to run hardcase
 Steven 2 points
up to you it is what will fit in your car better
 Mey 2 points
I perfer the hardcase over the regular because it gives a bit more protection and fits trucks and cars much better. but performance is the same. i recommened this battery you will love it wires coming out of this thing is insanely thick which means power
 Eric 2 points
Hard case take more abuse, but soft case are just fine. They are all the same batteries, but hardcase packs are intended for use in cars where they will have to suffer through more hits and rough stuff.
 Mark 1 points
I have 4 scale crawlers and I run both types with out any issues
 Jacky 1 points
hard case is a little bit bigger than soft wrap. power is the same.
 piranhafreak 1 points
Hard case vs soft case is eacatly that thats the only difference. The only reason hard case lipos are made is to protect from puncture thats it.

And as the guy above said he cracked hs case well just imagine what would happen if it didnt have that hard shell to protect the lipo
 Slash2daBone 1 points
i can cram the softpacks in my rustler but the hard case won't fit
 Charles 7 points
If you are racing you need to have hard case packs. The hard case is to help reduce the chance af a puncture cell and fire. If the case is cracked glue will fix it.
 Kevin 3 points
The tracks i race are very competative, lots of bashing, the turnigy hard packs fiy nice in my slash 4x4. They dont move around and handle extreme abuse. I always prefer hard packs.
 Brendon 1 points
Hard case packs offer more protection to the cells. Most tracks won't allow you to run soft sided packs.
Mitchell  33 points - 1/12/2011

Does it fit in the Traxxas Slash 2wd?
 Gabe 7 points
Yes, just loosen the strap screws!
 Shane 5 points
Yes it does, it will fit most all traxxas rc's
 rob 5 points
Will fit, but it's slightly bigger than nimh packs. I use velcro straps in addition to the stock battery retainer to ensure a better fit (you might have to cut holes for the straps to go through the body).
 Mark 8 points
yes i have 2 and even the 3 cells fit
 czaba 18 points
It should, but if it doesn't you could probably buy the trx extended hold down.
 brushless3.3revo 6 points
I have one and it fits
 snurdly 14 points
Yes, it will fit the slash.
 benjamin 3 points
yes, i have one
 Dereck 3 points
Yes it will fit without any mods.
 brandon 2 points
great batteries get awesome runtime
 Seth 8 points
Yes, without modification.
 jepensedoucjsuis 6 points
Yes. I run them in both my 2wd and 4wd Slash. I see nearly 1 hour of run time in a track set up 2wd Slash with a speed of 45-48mph on a 2s.
 Chris 2 points
Yes and it also fits the Traxxas stampede 4x4
 mitchll1088 2 points
iam almost 100 sure the slash 2wd and the rustler 2wd have the same bat bay and mine doesnt fit with stock tie downs esc gets in the way but you can wedge itin there and get your own velcro straps just watch out for the large wire size when i got mine i was surprised the wires were 8ga. and the only connectors that would fit were traxxas and i had to have my lhs solder it cause it needed so much solder
 stacey 6 points
They will but you need to use a dremel to clear the wires same for the soft packs since the wires come out the side all my racers use these packs in there trucks, slash, slash 4x4,sc10,jammin scrt10.
 Donnie 3 points
yes it does i own 3 of these myself and i run them in my 2wd slash's
 787Dreamliner 7 points
It doesn't fit the slash 4x4 without modification, so I don't see it fitting the 2wd one.
 Curt S 5 points
Yes it fits. Be warned the battery leads are of a thick 8 gauge. Be sure to have a good solder gun for your new ends.
 Paul 9 points
Yes it does, just remove the foam block from the battery tray and it will fit perfectly.
 __zaza 6 points
Yes it does. I have two of these packs and have never had a problem with them.
 David 5 points
Good tight fit works great in my 2wd slash Blitz and brushless E-Maxx.
 pneal4684 2 points
yes they will fit ran them in my 2wd slash and 4wd slash
 Buggyguy 5 points
These will fit most short course trucks, i had to do alittle bit of dremeling in my slash 4x4 but worth the proformance.
 tomuchgoodstuff 7 points
the packs are a little thick or tall for battery tray but fits with little mods, yes wires are very thick but batterys have great punch and are worth every penny
 ANTONIO 10 points
Yes they do fit and they work great
 mark 1 points
yes, it fits perfectly fine!
 Irvin 1 points
WIll fit perfectly, snug so you wont have any vibration marks..
 Mark 1 points
yes they fit perfect just put one in mine
 Steven 2 points
fits snug run one every weekend good buy great battery
 piranhafreak 1 points
Yes it does they are great packs too
 Slash2daBone 1 points
they work wonderful no mods here.
 czktm 1 points
yes fits pefectly, you have to make sure your battery hold down strap is flipped over the right way no room to spare but fits great and performance is awsome!

2 thumbs up!
Excellent batteries, well balanced and put out 30C easily. I am suing them in my Traxxas summit and they fit nicely. Beware however the wires are think at 8 wga, you will need to a little dremel acction to get them through the battery boxes on the E-Revo chassis, and little I mean LITTLE dremel action.

These batteries have been working well for me in my Slash and Slash 4x4. They are physically too large to fit in my Rustler or my Losi 1/10 Slider. Mostly it has to do with the way that the leads protrude from the end of the battery rather than the top. The leads are nice and thick (8 or 10 gauge). This might make it difficult to add your flavor of connector. I had to make a short adapter to accomodate my Traxxas connector. If these will fit in your car, they are a good bargain. I will order more for the Slash.

Oredered on Thursday got it on Monday(today). The wires are a bit overkill. Balance was exact. Plenty of punch in a 17.5 Slash. Would have been five stars if it would have been 25 mm tali instead of 26 mm and if the wires came out the top. Beware though this is a heavy battery. 96 grams heavier then Core 5000 mah battery.
