Changing from gas to electric. 2 questions.
1. With Turnigy 5.0,25-35c battery, with Rimfire Outrunner .46 motor, what ESC should I be buying?
2. Can I extend the feed from battery to ESC 6"?
The Rimfire 46 motor is rated at 60amps continuos and can handle up to 100amps for short periods,think an 80amp would be ideal for most sport users.No problem extending the battery wires,6ins is nothing to worry about.
Drive/Motor calculator. HELP! Can somebody please recommend a calculator which lists Turnigy motors and batteries? Seems like I'm going to have to learn to use these things but the ones I have looked at ask for some info which HK doesn't supply and none of those I've looked at list Turnigy motors or batteries in their "standards" lists
If you look at the specks on all motors there listed by size. If your looking for a 25 size nitro the motors are listed that way. Every moror has specks on the battery it need.

Don't bother paying for 1 - 3 day delivery... HongKong 'processing' takes a week, then the batts get shipped maybe. Am in the 7th day waiting for the processing to change to 'shipped'.
Just learned of the death of Ron Pickering at the USA Warehouse. Delay is temporary, and unusual. Was the first time HK had ever not delivered as scheduled, knew something had to be wrong...
I paid for the 3 say delivery and got it...If the weather is bad or the post office is slow, that can hardly be blamed on HobbyKing, especially if the ship label shows 3 day and it was mailed out promptly.
I don't own any other batteries! I can't imagine paying the same for one battery when that same price will buy me 3 HobbyKing batteries of great quality!

I use 2 sets of these batteries in series for 12S on a Trex700 based A/P setup. I carry high end camera gear and must have the absolute most reliability, which is admittedly why I have skipped other HK and Turnigy products for other key parts of the heli. But these batteries are an exception. After over 50 cycles on 8 packs they are still performing PERFECTLY! And I can't believe the price. The closest thing you will find that is name brand will cost you 5X as much. Don't worry about trusting your expensive model to these cheaper batteries!

I just bought 4 of these babies for an E-Bike wheel. Paired them into a10,0000mah 12S packs and series that into a 44.4V 12S2P 10AH monster. The bike can lug my fat behind up hills at 30kph!

purchased one of these batteries and i am 100 sastisfied never have a voltage drop in any ceel they have all always been with in 1 milivolt and the battery nevers gets hot or swells and i have 50 plus flights on it with trex 600.

I'm using these in two Heli's, Trex 550 and Chaos 600, I was going to give only 4 stars but realized these batteries on a performance basis desrve the 5 star as they work great in these two birds and flight times are 9-10 minutes for general flight, I'm no 3D nut. To get back to the possible 4 star, my reason for the thought was they are listed at 812g for weight and only weigh in at 790g, at least the two I received, which is not bad but to use them in the 600 Helis I had to toss in an additional small battery to make up the weight difference in order to keep the bird from being tail heavy and to maintain balance. Bottom line these are great batteries for the price and compare well against the Align 5200mah 40C packs and flight times, as well as, power. I'll be getting more of them shortly.
