Is there rebuild kits available ?
skyfox60  254 points - 1/4/2013

I use two of these servos with mag encoder. Once they are seperated from each other, they work fine. But installed in a small plane, where they have to be placed one by one very near, one servo is moving fast fore and back when the other one is steared by radio and vice versa. Is it possible, that there is a magnetic interference to the encoder may be produced by mag. field of motor from other servo?
Nicolas  8 points - 10/9/2012

I received this servo today and it doesn't really work!!! The gear just turns round and round and it doesn't stop!!! Can you please send me a working one? Or can I do something about it?

Does anyone have centering problems with this servo?
 David 16 points
I have had NO PROBLEMS at all with this servo..its fast, quiet and does a superb job in my VTA car.

when is this going to be in stock? Thanks HK

Anybody using this servo as a rudder (tail) servo on a heli?
 ChrisMager 10 points
I am using it on my 1/10th scale HPI blitz truck. It is a large servo. It is fairly heavy. It would not seem fit for flight unless it was a large helicopter.
 Amadeus 600 61 points
I bought a few and put one on the tail of my 600. It's good. Quick and strong.
David  16 points - 8/2/2011

and...can they be used with a 7.4 lipo rx battery?
 jakou31 153 points
no the servo fire with 2s Li-po !!
 David 16 points
Thanks Jakou, but I seriously doubt that the servo will go up in flames on 7.4 volts. I'm looking to see if anyone has used these as High Voltage Servos or will a voltage regulator be needed.
 jakou31 153 points
i have this servo on my HK600gt and i have tested with 2s dircet voltage, servo is very very hot !!! use BEC 6v is nice idea.
 discount 16 points
Yes, mine is using 7,4V battery and its working perfectly, very fast and quite cold.

Is the HK47111 comparable to the JR 8711? Do these servos ship from the United States or China? What is the warranty on these?
 Egg Man 26 points
Don't run these at over 280hz, the digital amplifier can handle the frequency (as per the specs on blue Arrow's website) but the servo's heat dissipation isn't enough to get rid of the excess heat and it will cook itself to death, especially if used on a gyro. Stay at 250hz and it's a good servo.
 Egg Man 26 points
Actually I take that back, they seem to run fine at 333hz with no overheating. It may depend on your gyro. I would try running it at 333hz and if it starts getting too hot drop down to 250hz YMMV

what freqeuncy and pulse width are these servos? i want to use them with a beast x flybarless unit and it asks for that in the setup? thanks
 alvin 7 points
I have a friend that uses these servos with the Beast X and there is no problem what so ever.
sutto@msn.com  20 points - 4/9/2011

What is the working frequency of these servos?
 Eivind 8 points
According to the manufacturer the Mi digital servos have the following specs: "560Hz HF &760?s narrow frequency" Thanks.
 Amadeus 600 61 points
I have 3 of these on my heli swash plate. 1520pulse 333hz. They chatter a lot! And when I load 1 servo, they start chatting more and even all of them start to go back and forward quickly a few degrees, fighting to keep their position. These are BlueArrow servos, I'll check up the specs there also. I hope another setting keeps them quiet and keep their position.
 Egg Man 26 points
It may be a combination of the frequency and your gyro. I would try dropping down to 250hz and see if that fixes it. On cyclic servos the difference in performance between 250hz and 333hz is basically non existent.
Kalps  103 points - 12/16/2010

is anyone using them? i have mine in transist.....
 jaubertel 157 points
Mine are also in transit, i think they are good for a cyclic of t-rex 600 heli in 3D. I write a rewiew asap.
 Kalps 103 points
Cool, i am going to use mine on a Rexy 600 Nirto too
 Jim 1 points
Have this in my Hyper 10TT..excellent servo, solved steering issues.
Kalps  103 points - 12/13/2010

any tried different servo horns?
 kurtus420 153 points
yeah, I'd like to know what spline is on this as well? I took the plunge and purchased one but I want to make sure I have a saver to fit into my Tamiya TT01D. Thanks guys
 kurtus420 153 points
Just spoke with sale * bluearrow and they say its futaba spline
 Kalps 103 points
you are right, have confirmed with Blue Arrow.
 jaubertel 157 points
Servos horns are futaba compatibles
 kevin 31 points
Tried one in my 1/8 gas buggy as a throttle and braking servo, didn't last a tank before it failed ..
 KaYs3r 10 points
It failed in wich part? Gears?
akamullen  30 points - 12/10/2010

Whats the dif. between this one and the red case one other than the hight? They have the same specs, so why would you want a taller servo that does the exact same thing? red one is model#HK47011DMG Thanks you, whoever answers this.
 helipilotraptor 56 points
This is the coreless motor version, witch means that the start/stop times are much more short, can have better mechanical resolution and a more smooth travel
 akamullen 30 points
They are both core-less, so that's not the difference
 RW-Jets.de 58 points
hey I think this one has heat sink, so alloy case in the middle and the other is normal.
 RW-Jets.de 58 points
ah and jason when Im right, declare it as it and the confusion is over xD
 akamullen 30 points
The red one is a few grams lighter so it would make sense... Thanks. I believe your correct...

 Eivind 8 points
Black case is a metal mid-casing, the red case is a plastic mid-casing. The metal casing offers more cooling and more strength.

These servo are obviously Digital, right ?
 gonyo 44 points
right !
 Eivind 8 points
Yes, digital.
V0RT3X  98 points - 12/9/2010

Now for some 15-20kg capable.
 Grzegorz 198 points
There are no 15-20kg :( On the vendor site that's the best you can get :(
Grzegorz  198 points - 12/9/2010

According to the vendor, that should be great for steering on big planes and RC 1/8 class cars. HK could you also please copy the application notes from the vendor? It would be easier than going there and looking up everything :) Thanks!

1 thumbs up!
Short: I got this servo and am very happy with it. Long: At first I ordered one for a short course truck dedicated to bashing. Been using it for 3 months now for steering, some replaced parts on the truck however no problems ever with the servo. This Mi servo is very strong and fast and so far has been totally reliable. About a month ago I ordered another one of these servo for a different SC truck used for racing. Have run the 2nd servo for a couple weeks now and it works great, no issues like the first one. Well since the first two were good I just ordered a 3rd Mi servo to upgrade the BMS-661DMG steering servo of my 1/10 drift car. The 661D is cheaper but this Mi servo is faster, smoother and higher torque headroom for my application. Me like it!

Tested this servo only once, it's working great, really fast... It only needs to last for a good time to be an excellent servo.
