Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 10S 45~90C Lipo Pack

Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 10S 45~90C Lipo Pack
Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 10S 45~90C Lipo Pack

More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo  nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance.
Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.
-Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC
-Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.
-Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
-Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

i wouldnt like to zap myself with that batt . think of it approx 37V going through you ... ouch
 elolz_Au 54 points
It would hurt... A 3s 2200mah 20C battery hurts lol
 sn0wchyld 22 points
what are you doing? licking the terminals?! 37v on your skin shouldn't do anything at all. my 100v ebike only makes your skin tingle slightly - though id never lick those terminals! by by tounge!

snOwchyld, what kit do you use? i have a 48v e-bikekit and want more power
 sn0wchyld 22 points
no kit... totally self assembled. search google for 'ht norko aline - finally' that'll get you my build thread (endless sphere).

nice, i have a downhillbike to. www.link need to read your thred tonight

Hi can somebody tell me if there is a battery charger that will charge 10 lipo cells at once? If so please give us the make and model number thanks
 Brian 4 points
Any of the Hyperion Duo chargers will charge that battery for example the Hyperion EOS 720i Super Duo 3 or the older Hyperion EOS 0615i Duo III Balancing Charger ...that battery is basically two 5s packs in series shrink wrapped with two sets of battery leads and two 5s balance plugs.
 Erich 10 points
It is possible to charge 10S at once. Only connect the wires. To charge you need only a good charger with at least 200W
 LeviathanUltima 2 points
you can use the icharger 1010B . It can handle 10s at once. Just make sure you have a good enough power supply (> 300W). good luck
 papa_lazerous 56 points
iCharger 3010B You can pump 30Amps and a max of 10Cells but you need a good power supply to use it to its full potential

Lee, check this charger. good but expensive. *******thunderpowerrc****/html/TP1430C.html

I see that the battery pack comes with 2 separate balanced wire cables (it is made of two 5s packs to put in series with the two short cables to have 10s). So, if I use iCharger 3010B 1000W 10s Balance/Charger, I should charge it separate: first(A) 5s pack and second(B) 5s pack or could I charge the pack 10s in one time ? According to the photo attached it seems that I must charge it separate. Thanks for quick replay.
 Quix-fz 115 points
you could charge them in series as a 10S pack, but you would have to be very careful... you could easily burn the balancing cables. it's easiest to charge each 5S pack alone separately.
 Mark 7 points
could you charge it with two identical chargers charging each 5s battery separately, but at the same time?
 MarvelCraft 31 points
*Mark yes. Its nothing more than shown on Picture 2 with a kind of "Duo" chargers* just you have 2 "Single" ones* understand? Don't forget to plug in the according Balancer Plug's to the right big Plus/Minus cables! Find out and mark them A and B. HTH, Frank

Will I have to change the wires if I wire these packs 10P 10S? That would be one large pack 50AH 370V. I am worried the wires are not the correct size for this configuration.
 2Doggs 274 points
so you'd wire 10 packs in series, and wire ten of those 10-packs in parallel. The wires on the individual battery packs, for the series part, are fine, but your main connectors would have to be able to deal with whatever your maximum current draw will be, presumably in the hundreds of amps range. Each of those connectors would have 10 leads coming off it to go to each of the 10-packs - and those leads could match the size used on the individual batteries. Balance charging the whole pack would be an interesting exercise! What would you be using this $15k pack for?

as his name suggests... EV DRAG RACING! im currently contemplating a smaller, 2s4p for a gokart... is they ever went in stock! charging them is annoying/difficult.
 EvDragRacer 9 points
We have built our EV Drag Racing packs with 5S packs. After a redesign of the cars battery box, it made for sense to build with 5S. We have 14 packs in parallel wire to copper bus bars, and 16 packs in series. The completed pack is 296n www.link

Google ECEDRA or East Coast Electric Drag Racing Association and click on the Team Lithiumaniacs EV Racing picture for more info.

Will this fit in the Mikado logo 600 SE? This will be a determining factor if I will buy a logo 600. Just can't eat the $400 for a single battery that other lipo manufacturers want for a Logo size battery.
 NeilP 4 points
Duca...you can charge it 10s..that is why you bought the 10s Charger i reckon they only sell it as a 10 S pack to charge more. it is only two 5s packs in the same shrink wrap for more money. Beware.. It is visible in the photo but I missed it. THIS IS NOT A 10S PACK...it is just two 5s packs in the same shrink wrap. And buying two 5S packs is cheaper. individual cel voltages all good when they arrived. I bought 8 of these. 1 pack had 2 cells 0.2 volts down , In all the other packs, all cels were within 0.02 volts
 Garfield2412 124 points
HK-Team: we need such pack in 12s configuration :-)
 apolmc 175 points
*Garfield you could use two 6s packs in series to make a 12s pack.
