Sure, but you ought to mount an high pitch propeller to ensure that it give trust at high speed and use an amperemeter to limit the current to 50 ampere.

wieviel ampere zieht er im hk450 ? welchen regler sollte ich bevorzugen ?

ich habe den Motor mit einem 40A Hobbyking Blueline geflogen. Ampere habe ich nicht messen können im Flug, aber funktioniert hat es super. Regler und Motor waren nach dem Flug nur Handwarm. Der Turnigy Plush 40A ist dafür auch super als Steller zu gebrauchen.

It works really good in a 69mm EDF (Wemotec, Germany), so if it fits it should work perfect in a 64mm EDF.

4400kv seems alot for a 500. Has anyone tryed this out. The head speed has to be crazy fast.

I wouldn't put a 3.17mm shaft on a 500. It's crazy headspeed even for a 450. You'd need an 11t pinion, and even then it's fast.

I guess you'd want to run it on 3 cell lipo to tame it down, but then you'd be running some high amps as a trade off.

I cant see how you can use it on a trex 500.

I guess this motor is handy for 450 users who want a little more power.

Actually if you run with a 3Cell battery you will get half the head speed? just a thought but you'd be best buying a proper 500 motor

Well if fact, this motor is not well for more power, but a perfect fit for flybarless setup. It has less torque than a lower KV one, but gives more rotation speed. This is needed when doing 3D, but you migh also have a governor to fix the decreasing speed at more torque manoever.
It could fit also a scale flybarless helicopter project in case you are using a governor too.

turbine like smooth running, mounted on a 4:1 gear in softliner. better use 5:1 or 6:1 gear. mounting fits to microgear edition

Hatte schon einige Motoren im Funjet, aber der hier ist für mich das Optimum an Leistung und Gewicht. Passt hervorragend in den Funjet. Fliege ihn mit 5,5 x 4,5 und 2200mAh 30C Zippy. Ich konnte beim Steigflug kaum einen Unterschied erkennen zum Original Tuning-Antrieb. Vor allem segelt er noch recht gut durch das geringe Gewicht der Kombination. Und das Handstartverhalten ist klasse, bei Halbgas Starten kein Problem. Wird gering nach links gezogen beim Werfen was man leicht korrigieren kann. Passt wunderbar in die Motorhalterung vom Funjet, Kabel muss man, da Aussenläufer entsprechend führen, habe das mit einem kleinen Haken gelöst, so wie beim Funjet Ultra. Also perfekter Motor für den Funjet. TOP Leistung. Qualität der Verarbeitung ist auch sehr gut. Kaufen!!!

I bought this for my HK450 heli and it fits nicely alltough it might be alittle on the fast side even on 11T pinion. This motor runs nice and smooth. On 3S the no load RPM are aroun about 45000, fast enough for the label to come flying of. So all in all a great little power house.

Works well and is beautiful. All well packaged and received quickly. The engine power quite well. Long but cheap and good quality.
