Would this be sufficient power with a UBEC to power the ignition of a petrol engine?
salvatoreisgro  6 points - 5/6/2013

You must use the bec for rc flight
 Dan 5 points
BEC requires only where maximum operating voltage of the receiver or servo is lower to 6,6Vcc
ksolheim44  7 points - 5/5/2013

can i use this battery on a receiver rated at 6v?
 Dan 5 points
in my work with limited hitec receiver 6Vcc. If you can, insert a normal diode type 1N4007 or higher and this will reduce the output voltage -0.6 VDC, 2 diodes will reduce -1.2 VDC.

can i use this battery to power my fs th9x-b radio?
 adriana 6 points
yes friend, 3 of them.
roberto  7 points - 2/12/2013

 adriana 6 points
Use a smart charger, imax b6 or Turnigy accucel 6, reload the slowest possible (to recharge this battery down to 0.4, and adding to the low discharge life will greatly increase. With this charger you can do for cycles amentar load capacity (batteries estam with little capacity). fully charge the battery.

I want to use this in a glider with no motor. Will this work hooked up to the receiver powering 2-4 servos with no BEC. How many hours could i expect it to last?
 S T E K A 265 points
to know exacty hours gona last you nedd konow how amps you servos draw but on glider the servos are not push on limit and a had one glider with 2m wing span and i used this life, i get about 1:30h of safety flight

thanks, and i dont need a BEC right?
 S T E K A 265 points
and dont use a bec.. plug the batery direct on reciver, never had a problen more than 60 flight good luck
Scott  6 points - 1/31/2013

I'd use a BEC just to be safe if you are worried about it. With that said, the batteries I got come with two standard plugs so you can run one as an ignition/receiver battery and its plug and play.
sher ali malik  13 points - 1/28/2013

can i use this life with ignition/CDI unit Gasser engines , as they operate on either 4.8v or 6.0 volt
 Hurley 194 points
I have them on my 30cc gas planes. two on RX and one on CDI. Hope this helps
Whistling Ferret  1 points - 1/22/2013

Does anyone use one of these in a JR XG8 radio? It's either gonna just fit or just not fit! Any other suggestions?
 Hurley 194 points
They come with two standard servo plugs and one balance plug on them. NOT with the plugs in the pic.
 Whistling Ferret 1 points
Thanks. That's fine. I can change the plugs. What I really want to know is will this battery fit in a JR XG8 radio. The dimensions are right on to within a mm but with wires sticking out, you can never be sure how they have measured them. So anyone have experience trying to fit this in the XG8? Thanks.
 r/c vish 57 points
these are receiver packs,..... u need transmitter packs to put it in the Tx... if u putting in the Rx it will work...

================= It will be used to connect a 6.4V Radio (4 batteries)?
 Diogenes 31 points
Olá*, você*s usam direto no receptor ?
Obrigado.

No way to recover. It is destroyed. Disposal properly. Don't keep as a **** at home.: can get fire spontaneously.

Nope .

5 servos standard.
greg_gr.  1 points - 11/13/2012

i didn't understand.what plug type is that pack coming?have you update version with normal futaba servo plug?
 Bugsmasher 72 points
I bought a couple of these recently and they came wired with not one but two standard servo plugs. The type without a lip that fits into pretty much any receiver. They also have a balance plug on them.
greg_gr.  1 points - 11/8/2012

hi!can i order this pack with normal servo plug??
 Bruno 27 points
hi, for use with receiver, can buy. Good luck and good flights

pepe2012  34 points - 10/25/2012

If you connect 2 of these in parallel for your rx, and one of the two went bad in flight, you would still have full voltage in the good pack. Is this a correct statement?
 Craig 5 points
You must use a battery sharing device to isolate the batteries otherwise the bad battery could take out the good one. A Batt Share will isolate the batteries and then yes, you still have the remaining power to your receiver
 pepe2012 34 points
Do you have a link for an example?
 whiskey29 72 points
Yes, but if its in parallel The good pack would try to balance the bad pack to reach same voltage. Unless the other pack died like no connection. Think as two water tank parallel to one out put. If the other tank pipe is blocked then the water only pours from the other one, but if say the tank leaks, then the other tanks content will slowly fill the leaked tank, if the leak is nad, then it will make the other tank to rush the content to the leaked tank. In this case good lipo could be damaged.
 Bugsmasher 72 points
I'm planning on using 2 of these to power the receiver and servos in my 1/4 Citabria. For redundancy I'm going to have 2 switch harness' plugged into 2 separate slots in the receiver. Completely independent as far as I can tell.
 billum2 173 points
A member of my club did lots of experiments with nimh packs and proved that a charged pack would not bleed into the flat pack when connected in parallel. The internal resistance of the flat pack has a part to play. The benefit outweighed the disadvantage of carrying two packs. I suspect the same would apply to LifePO4. A voltage indicator is useful here too.

I do use 2 servo on my gasoline boat . one of them for rudder servo : savox 1257 another is standart servo for gas throttle. I do use HK-GT3B transmitter and receiver. normally I use regular stick AA batteries for receiver and servo also. now I want use this batteries for my boats. does it keep enough charge ? because I don't want loose control when I drive them on water , usually we do spend 30 or 40 minute on water, and stick batteries can handle this time , I just don't want dissapoint about using lipos and I only worry about 1100mah details. could you guys please give me details who use this lipo on boats and other hard setups ?
 Craig 5 points
These may be ok, but you will need to do your homework to make sure they are enough capacity. I found that 1100 mah LiFe was only good for 15 minutes in a 30cc aircraft with 4 digital servos.

In a boat, is weight really a great concern - unlike an airplane - why not get something larger - www.link
 gurhanunses 2 points
thanks craig , but there is no link actually , could you please share with me product id. please
 Bruno 27 points
hi, try FlightMax ZIPPY 2500mAh 6.6V 5C LiFePo4 Receiver Pack, the discharge is low which increases the usage time. good luck
 gurhanunses 2 points
thanks bruno , but honestly we do use this packs in servo box which is not enough space for stick batteries. small packs would be great , also we can use this 2 of them with parrallel connection
pepe2012  34 points - 10/18/2012

What about servos that are rated for 6.0v ?

Will servos handle this much voltage?

How much voltage will this pack have right off the charger?
 morphine 413 points
Power your RX with this and dont wory about anythng else. The servos will be powered by the output voltage of the RX. Buy it and be happy.
 Craig 5 points
Most newer servos will handle the lifepo batteries nicely - remember some 6v nicad peak close to 7 volts.
 alisson 20 points
I am using it direct on Hitec servos with no problems
 nlmbc 589 points
When I have charged mine they have peaked out at 7.2v on charger.
preman  44 points - 5/31/2012

Can his item will fit into futaba 4pks. . .???
 __trev 432 points
yes it probably will fit. use the dimensions in the description against your 4pks to be sure
 Ale Kerger 10 points
Muito boa para radios
 Wagner 15 points
 nlmbc 589 points
Yes it will fit as it is smaller than the battery that comes with the radio.
 alisson 20 points
For your radio (TX) you should use a 9.9v Life (3S pack) or a 12,6v 3S Lipo pack (low discharge).. In case that you want use in your RX (receiver) it will fit perfectly with no ubec needled.
