USA warehouse now open. Our USA warehouse is now open! Low cost shipping and an ever growing variety make ordering from the US warehouse even better value!
This is BS.
This grub screw is either glued with METAL EPOXY or it's welded in there.
Even after dremeling and heating and trying everything this piece of **** wouldn't come out.
I had to dremmel off the whole part, i bent the drive shaft and now i need to wait 3 weeks for new parts because spare parts are only available in the international warehouse.
This is really BS.
Now i also noticed i could have taken apart the rear diff instead and get the spur gear off the other way instead of busting this part up.
ALSO: The CAD image here is wrong, there should be an opening så* the main drive shaft can actually go in there.
No?
Or is this not even the right part?
It is by the manual.
This hobby can really piss a person off sometimes.
Is the grub screw held in with welds or something? I have rounded 2 allen keys trying to undo it because I stripped my large drive gear. A stick hit my main large drive gear and flattened about 10 of the teeth, I already have replacement gear but can't take this part off to replace it.
hi and the set screw is lock tighted in there or glue and yes you due half to heat it up a bit with a heat gun or lighter and also use a good quialty hex driver
I have heated it up multiple times and rounded 2 hex keys, I think my only option is to cut the damn thing off and buy a new one. I can't keep spending money on new Hex keys, they cost quite a lot of money for Kincrome.
I used a hack saw and cut a groove into the out drive and the top of the grub screw then used a screw driver to remove the grub screw.

Drill it out with a 2.5mm drill. If you lucky the tread will still be usable, otherwise drill a 2.5 mm hole on the other side, and make a m3 tread in it.
