This is BS. This grub screw is either glued with METAL EPOXY or it's welded in there. Even after dremeling and heating and trying everything this piece of **** wouldn't come out. I had to dremmel off the whole part, i bent the drive shaft and now i need to wait 3 weeks for new parts because spare parts are only available in the international warehouse. This is really BS. Now i also noticed i could have taken apart the rear diff instead and get the spur gear off the other way instead of busting this part up. ALSO: The CAD image here is wrong, there should be an opening så* the main drive shaft can actually go in there. No? Or is this not even the right part? It is by the manual. This hobby can really piss a person off sometimes.

Is the grub screw held in with welds or something? I have rounded 2 allen keys trying to undo it because I stripped my large drive gear. A stick hit my main large drive gear and flattened about 10 of the teeth, I already have replacement gear but can't take this part off to replace it.

It is glued, you have to heat it up, and then it goes with no problem.
 Mozlin 1 points
Thanks mate, I'll grab a lighter or something and warm it up that way. (Y)
 calpic 16 points
Are you get him out?
 Mozlin 1 points
Have not tried yet, have family staying with me and been busy, will try in a day or two.

tive problemas para retirar este parafuso, mas não esta colado, e muito duro mesmo so soltei o m3 com esta chave www.link

hi and the set screw is lock tighted in there or glue and yes you due half to heat it up a bit with a heat gun or lighter and also use a good quialty hex driver
 Mozlin 1 points
I have heated it up multiple times and rounded 2 hex keys, I think my only option is to cut the damn thing off and buy a new one. I can't keep spending money on new Hex keys, they cost quite a lot of money for Kincrome.
 Helimike1976 72 points
it is not glued and does not use a hex screw. it has a philips head slot.
 Mozlin 1 points
They came with Hex Grub screws. I cut mine off with my Dremel and now my car is rear wheel drive and just does burnouts now.
 Nathan 12 points
I used a hack saw and cut a groove into the out drive and the top of the grub screw then used a screw driver to remove the grub screw. target=_blank>Cut grub screw
 WingMaster 1 points
Drill it out with a 2.5mm drill. If you lucky the tread will still be usable, otherwise drill a 2.5 mm hole on the other side, and make a m3 tread in it.
 Mozlin 1 points
I already cut it off.

cannot get the screw out, tried wd40, heat... i am successful at rounding my tool and nothing else. tips pls?
 Anden86 63 points
i maneged to get the screw out using high wuality tools and a blow torch!
 grupps 9 points
a blow torch lol. So wrap the plastic parts in tin foil?
 sour41 126 points
Bolt can get with a high temperature. (With a mini gas burner) _ Bearings will not let the plastic melt, heat wisely
 ezarc 138 points
I drilled the grub screw out on mine and ordered a new part and new grub screws, I wont be gluing the new grub screws in.
 mtb4nz 118 points

Have this as space because the original wear out fast. Especially on 3S :)
