This battery starts my 1000 cc motorcycle like a champ. If my alternator charges at less than 6 amps, it will last a good long time. I would definitely suggest them for all motorcycles. Or maybe the 8400 mah.
Would this unit be something I could consider for running the lights on my motorcycle. I have no electrical system, lights run off total loss battery. I need something light weight to run head, tail, brake lights, horn and turn signals.
Yes, definitely.
Biggest draw comes from your typical H4 headlight, about 4-4.5 amps (tip: consider 35W HID conversion).
Thus, you're looking at 30mins runtime, up to 45 if you'd go all LED on the rest of the lighting.
There is no problem per se to run LiFePo4 in a bike - I have a 7Ah 4S myself, even starts a 600cc bike fine.
Who is a manufacturer of such battery?
Where could I read its detailed spec?
What's internal resistance of the battery? It's an important parameter in order to know a voltage drop under high current.
1) Does the pack include the BMS (battery management system)? Why is the balance plug needed?
2) During the discharge, should the balance plug be connected anywhere?
3) What's charger should be used with the pack? Is charging/discharging done on the same wires?
4) Is it possible to connect 4 such packs in serial in order to get the 48V battery? How many chargers would I need to charge such 48V pack?
5) What does the "Config(s) 4" mean?
1)No, balance plug is for charging to ensure all cells charge to the same level.2)No, its used durring the chage cycle. 3)a standard Lipo charger should work for these, and yes charge-discharge is do through the same wires(the red and black bullet plugs)4) yes you can connect them to get that voltage, you'll need a charger with a charge point for each battery i wouldnt charge them connected all together. 5)"Config(s) 4" means it's a 4 cell pack.
Mathew is incorrect on point number 3. You should not use a standard lipo charger because the voltage rating is different for Life and Lipo batteries. You should charge with a charger that is Life compatible. I use the G.T.Power A8 8Cell balancer/Charger. "It will accept and safely charge NiCd,Lilo, Lipo, LiFe, Pb batteries."
I would reccomend the B6 AC plus charger, it is compatable with lipo, life, li-ion, & even nicd & nimh batteries & it has a balance port. also the price is unbeatable! check it www.link
Si pude conectar en serie estas baterias para 48V,Yo las he comprado para en serie hacer una 16S

I bought this battery for my traxxas slash to upgrade from my 7 cell nimh batteries & WOW...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!! (keep in mind that the stock esc cannot handle this many volts) this battery has great power & runtime for a great price! I was afraid of lipos because of the fire hazzard so I went with these life batteries & I'm very pleased! you'll need a lifep04 compatable charger, I use the thunder AC6 & it works great!
