Can someone tell me how large the inside diameter of the small end is please (wondering if it would "seal" 1mm bicycle gear cable)

diameter of the small end : between 1 and 1,5 mm.

1 mm bicycle gear cable will hardly seal the small end. It will be better if you take 1,5 or 2 mm cable (cables of motorcycle).
