these are metric "m3" treads.

These are usally used in RC cars to link the steering system (connection between servo arms and caster blocks).They have a hex in the middle so you can increase/dicrease their length when rod ends are screwed at the 2 ends. Here is an example of a set of turnbuckles to have a better idea: target=_blank>exampleturnbuck
