Are this strips the same quality as the scorpion ones that hobbyking has?

Haven't tested the scorpions, but these came apart in the melted joint between the rough and soft part of the strap when I mounted it in a plane. Was tightening the strap, and without much force I suddenly had the strap i 2 pieces in my hand.

Yes, it's velcro. You can see it easily by observing the four straps together. Combined with the polyester velcro peel and stick offered by hobbyking, you have a super safe battery holder.

yep, its velcro, have some of theese, as you can see in photo it has tha velctro thingies :D

Long enough to mount 2200mah size battery in 450, but too short for eg. 2650mah battery (wider). Good plastic end, easy to fasten. In general - very useful.
